Is there going to be racing at the C next Saturday 11/26? If so I'll have my newly restored spec GT car out to play for the first time there.

question for you guys: I'll be running an old pro 3. problem is the lipo won't fit in the battery slot (runs down the middle of the car) and there isn't anyway to lengthen the area without messing up the steering or the belt drive system.
SO, I can either mount the battery on top of the chassis stiffner bar, which can't be good cause it will raise the CG, OR I could remove the stiffner and mount the battery in the car at an angle. (not sure how I'd secure it in there that way though.) Neither of these options are very good, but i've got to figure something out as its the only car I have that will fit a class right now and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how to make it work?

thanks!
-Chris

Use a smaller lipo- there are plenty of them out there, both new and used. A stick pack size that's meant to fit in a Mini should work.

Peak 4000's are darn good batteries and more than you'll need for Spec GT. A red colored square SMC 3200 or 3800 might also fit.

Default great visiting

Wow. What a great night you all had. Glad to see the charity race was a big hit. Good seeing all of you for a brief time. I hope everybody has a grateful and SAFE turkey day. I look forward to racing with you soon. (Anticipating the results).
