i believe the flat black on my mustang body, is just regular black lexan paint - but when it drys, it gives the impression of flat black

Paint the shell as usual but with a black hood. All on the inside. Then trim out the overspray shield on the outsude and spray it with Tamiya Clear frost.
I have heard of using actual black primer on the outside but dont hold me to that one.

Testors Model Masters Custom Laquer System #28134 Flat Black.

You can use the entire line for Lexan, we (HPI) use it for 60% of our display bodies. They have some really cool GM, Ford, etc real colors also

http://www.testors.com/catalog_brand...br=4&ictNbr=95

Thanks,

AH

Yeah, the infamous "murdered out" Camaro was done with automotive primer from a discount store by Wallstreet. I have used it to do hoods and the entire exterior of bodies. Duplicolor ---DAP 1698 Black Primer

I used a red Sharpie to "paint" the wheels you saw this weekend. I really should post some before/after pictures or at least a wheel that is 1/2 way treated.

Thats good to know, I have wondered how the colored sharpies would look i had a feeling they would come out too dark.
