No sane club or track director should say no to a racer wanting to drive BUT we're all responsible for educating and encouraging everyone to adhere as closely as possible to the rules. It's what makes VTA a strong class and will help keep it that way for a long time.

Your paint work, although clearly a nice job, simply doesn't qualify as a VTA body. Now, slam that body on a chassis with some drift or VIP style wheels and tires and you've got something different that would easily compete against a similar Honda, Mazda , etc. Kinda like that early Mustang drifter in "F&F Tokyo Drift"

it says preferred not required. And it says frowned upon not banned. So get your freak on painting I say. This is fun racing and should not be so rigid as to discourage someone from painting a killer body even if its not in the spirit of the rules. Of course this is from the guy that pushed the roar body appearance rules and won.
