The thread for the glow plug has stripped with little force tightening the plug and now i have fuel pissing out when it is running. Can anyone tell me if i have to get another sts button or will another make fit. As you can imagine it has fustrated me and i dont know where to get sts parts. Any advise will be much appreciated. Thanks.
I've had this happen to me yesterday during breakin, turns out that the thread on the plug was messed up. I used a new plug and all was good again.

x3 here.
I'm running 47/18

this motor is awesome!!!

anybody knows between the sts 28 and the surefire .32 which one would be faster?
I just read the article in an rc magazine about the sure fire but they said it only puts out 2.8hp not the 3.6hp that the company claims?

Hey Good people!

I have a question for ya's, a couple of weeks back I sat down and read this thread and others from start to finish taking notes here and there, I noted and from memory it was Dino that wrote his LSN was approx 4 turns out and his HSN was approx 1.5 - 2 turns out. Is this correct?

If so, can you tell me if the top of the LSN is pretty much flush with the brass bit (#21050B)?

I ask as up until now the LSN has been way further out than it is now and my HSN has also been way further out that it is now. I am not sure whether these settings are safe to try!

well thats how his was tuned for his altitude and climate.
you las generally ends up being somewhere close to flush. the hsn usually ends up down inside and not flush with the top of the fitting

yeah it all depends where you live, what kind of car are you running this engine ine? savage? buggy?
my LSN sticks out quite a bit, not sure how many turns i have since i just run my truck and listen to it to see how is running if it needs to be reachen or lean out and then check tempatures. so i don't keep count on turns anymore.

Default Glow plug!

Hy gents! I have a question about glow plugs for the .28STS engine. I drive a LST and due to the fact that my Mach.26 engine is quit damaged i will use my new STS one. burn in is quite OK and I understand the procedure - but which type of glow plug I should use for this STS? And - what is the recommended cooling head temperature during normal run. Here in germany the averrage temperature is about 20-25°C.

OK - thats it for today!
