OS TR engine thread

well , following several of my posting on this engine...yesterday was it first test on a race after break in...
it felt slightly slow taking off (i guess my fault cause the low end not lean enough and also the wrong pipe combo) but the mid and top speed was excellent...
also in the 30 minutes main no engine cut off whatsoever.....overall i'm quite satisfied...
so future race gotta lean more the low needle...
thanks

high end needle: 1 3/4 from close
low end needle: 1 1/2 from close
middle needle: 1 full turn from flushed position from the carb
with this setting, my engine run at around 9mins for a 75cc tank and 230F temperature rating. engine is a bit on the rich side

Yet another needle setting for the O.S. .12 TR (P)-T R-Spec.
High side needle 1 1/4 out from closed.
Low side needle 2 3/4 out from closed.
(Middle is per instructions 1 1/2 in from flush with the carb body).
All these settings are after break in. I also can get over nine min of race time at about 218 deg. But I intend to try the other settings listed. Just to see what difference they make.

Yea, I kept thinking something must be wrong with my engine, until another racer who runs the exact same engine said he got 9:45 min run time. But I really haven't tuned it to race and just now will run my Logics turbo II pipe and this is the stock gearing not the .08... I'm sure it won't last.

Hello,
Where can I find this engine to purchase?
on Tower Hobbies it says its discontuniued, however I beleive rc-car action did a review of this engine I think in its december issue if i'm not mistaken.
I have an os TR that i bought two years ago and I loved this engine for how easy it is to tune and its reliability.
Thanks for any help!
