On road and off road crankshaft timing should be different

So you're saying it wouldn't work? The only difference from Keep on is the sleeve. Could you elaborate how the change of sleeve relates to the crankshaft timing when the shaft and case are from Keep On? Thanks.

Today's high end offroad engine have a crankshaft timing that does not differ much from onroad.

An offroad P/S set in an onroad will work but due a low port timing you will not have the performance of an onroad.

Thanks Roelof. Was it Harry? Anyway, again, can you explain how changing sleeve only will affect the crankshaft timing??

Changing a sleeve will not change the cranktiming. A large (onroad) cranktiming can deliver high performance but the lower port timings on the offroad sleeve will dim the power and top rpm. Nevertheless with an onroad exhaust trying differen manifolds will give an engine performance in between an onroad and offroad.

Castor based fuels. The best is Runnertime (now also sold as Tesla fuel) but stuff like MLC and Xceed are also OK

How much castor per gallon do you add?

If you run fuel like runner time or tesla then you don't 'add' any caster.

If you are running a fuel like Rapicon for example which is 9% synthetic you can add caster up to 11% total oil content. I've done that before when I couldn't get hold of Runner Time while racing in Asia.

It is wise to test it first in a drinking glass to see if the castor will mix with the fuel. Most of the time it will but you will never know for sure. It would be a shame if you ruin a fresh can of fuel.

Thanks for the tip but how much castor do you add to gallon of fuel if it will mix together?

You've got to do a bit of maths and work it out depending what the existing blend is and if the can is 1 us gallon or 5 litres etc. In the past I've run Rapicon as I couldn't get anything else which is 9% synthetic oil. I added 80mls of Novarossi castor to it.
