All the new nova motors?

what is the difference between all the new novarossi motors? all the model numbers got me confused, it went from ns3 and ns5 the the LL series, longstroke, and on and on. what are the .12 touring car motors now?

HarKonnenD 04-15-2005 06:04 PM

NSR's are Microcasted pistons. They are lighter and rev quicker so you see the stats are slightly higher. The RR12L came after the NSR, and another N something novarossi will be out soon as well.

Yes, the new one is N12LS (NSR type) and N12LL (RRL type). Yeah, pretty confused huh? :p

HarKonnenD 04-15-2005 07:48 PM

Yeah I hate that. All them funky names.

im more confused now than be for. all those are for 1/10 scale cars? what is the prie range between them all?

HarKonnenD 04-18-2005 08:57 PM

The NS12s run around $230-$270.

Well guys it looks as if I'm gonna bag the NS12 S5 port :). Hope it's still in the LHS.

HarKonnenD 04-18-2005 09:11 PM

BTw, does anyone know if the NS12 S3 piston and sleeve will fit the S5 or is it completely different? I was thinking if anything I can just have them order me the S3 version, however the 5 port will be fine anyway.

Opinions needed:

I am getting a RR12L3 very soon, and was wandering if i should run it in on 5% or 15%. im moving towards the 5% idea but if anyone can convince me otherwise, your help is appreciated

:D

Are you going to race on 15%? if so run in the motor with 15%

adamkerrnz 04-19-2005 04:10 AM

yes, i will be racing with 15%. i was reading something from the CEFX site ( i think) about WOT breaking-in. this seems very daunting for me to do. will it give my engine a much higher advantage than if i ran it in with the idle process?

HarKonnenD 04-19-2005 04:23 AM

Anyone know if it will fit?? I'm going to the LHS today to get it.

If you are racing with 15% then you should brake in the motor with 15%.

As for the WOT method i used that on my current engine and its been running awsome and is very tight still.

The WOT prepares the motor for racing conditions unlike idle which doesnt generate enought heat and will decrease it life in the long run.

The WOT also helps to flush out any dirt or metal shavings left by the manufacturer (yes it does happen even if the motor is new).

The WOT is simple very easy to do, just read the instructions on the CEFX site.

Good Luck :)
