I think the WOT method is good on the CEFX site but I'd make sure that the engine reaches operating temperature first. Breaking in WOT with engine so rich that it's cold would be a bad idea.

i just got myself a venom onboard temp monitor, what would operating temperature be?

Joe Chaplow 04-19-2005 05:33 PM

for break in, i try to keep my engine between 195 and 205 F

Get the engine upto about 90deg Cel before you start the WOT method

What pipe is recommended for a Novarossi RS12? I mistakingly bought a Picco pipe/header set thinking they would fit.

Any Novarossi, RB, NovaMax, JP or other Novarossi inline pipe varients would be good.

I use the 52607 Novarossi inline pipe (legal pipe is 52606). Powerful all around pipe and tuning is spot on. :)

My NS15 went crazy hot last weekend 174C !! but the engine is still okay after three times of rigorous testing. There was awfull sound before the engine shut down due over heating.

Actually 174C reading was taken one minute later ( the marshall had to pick up another car before mine ) cool huh ? :p

Twice I had to replace the glow plugs. Anyway, my friend Daniz24 kindly re-tuned my engine back to normal.
