You mean the "257606" in the url? I doubt it is the part number. Most likely the the store's stock reference number. Meanwhile, I got some pictures of a 07999 off another store, and, despite it being hard to read (seems like 4.8 - 211257), it surely is not the same as I have. So, I got swindled.

And, in another topic, Roelof , what do you think about the claims of the 07999 being "good for at least 10 liters"?

It is possible. I can not say about the material but most rods are made of "simple" 7075 aluminum with probably a T6 hardening. There are better sort of aluminum to find like 7068 which is well used for rods in the racing industry and today there are now aluminum-lithium alloys which are even more stronger..

I was told the MAX rods are made at Hudy, does not say a thing about the strength but it does tell something about the finishing quality.

But the best answer to get is from Massimo Fantini him self. Contact him through his website of Facebook.

Does anyone have a manual for the Novarossi Mephisto .12 (parts list) that they can share?

Your gucci with that rod . I have run the "Max Power" 07998 and 07999 on Novarossi engines with success...even a Nova engine lol. They are made by Hudy .

That asnwers your question, it seems the site is not active anymore. You can contact GiMar, they have bought up many parts from Novarossi.

Anyone have knowledge, that crankshaft 85021 from Keep On, can be replaced with 85028 DLC version from Mephisto ? Bore and stroke are the same.

To my knowledge a Keep-on has an offset carburator and the Mephisto not. If so then the crankshafts are not exchangeable

To be honest, it's about the Novarossi Meteora, I don't know what it's based on, but the carburetor is in the middle.
In general, is the timing of the crankshafts in Novarossi very different?

Basically timing wise you can use any crankshaft, there is none that will not work (based on the same carb position), only performance wise there are differences.

Default Nova M SX21 - conrod replacement

Hi,
I just removed the engine from a Serpent Vector 99 and found that I need to replace the conrod. Can you please advise me on what replacement to use?
I'm new here so I can't add a photo.
But the original conrod is marked on the bottom with "R" and on the top with "2".

Thanks in advance for your help.

With Novarossi the letter says about the dimensions and the number is a kind of design/production version. Any R rod will fit, if you look around you can find the R7 and R4 as also the previous mentioned MAX rod (MAX ir original a Novarossi engine)
