ok but even the exploded diagram available either online or the copy included in the box shows correct bearing orientation ie balls out the back!.

Also if you are fitting a bearing it means you most probably removed a bearing and so common sense would prevail and you'd put the new bearing in the same orientation as the one you removed. Or is that just me??

omg dan u must be slow !!! try to follow again !!! we all know balls out thanks that's not what we are talking about for the 100th time!!!! were talking abount the inner ring dam it wake up!!!! did u ever take apart a bearing ? the inner ring comes out that's what we r talking about there are no directions which way to reinstall the inner ring u got it now!!! better yet stay out the convo!!! lol

Pipe for .12 Novarossi Flash PT

Hi guys, may i check with you guys if the Hipex 2669 is a good match with the Nova Flash .12PT ? If not, whats the best matching pipe to use for the engine?

To be honest it is nowhere written how to mount the bearing. It is wise to mount the new one in the same way that the old came out. And it is also the most logical way for a better lubrication of the bearing.

But that's the problem no one knows this at leat this post will make people aware of it so guys if u take your bearing out and take it completely apart take a black marker and mark the side that has to be on the outside

Who actually in their right mind actually takes the bearing itself apart then reassembles it and sticks it back in the crankcase?? If it is goosed you just fit a new one from the packet and that's that.

I really don't see how you are adding to the conversation (mentioning taking the bearing completely apart) by the OP of this particular topic of his engine locking up when he mounts the backplate. It is clear he has just fitted a new bearing and I doubt he took it (the bearing itself) apart first prior to fitting it into the engine :lol::lol::lol:

My guess is that he simply hasn't pressed the bearing all the way home.

well I don't question how u care for your stuff but I take apart my bearings and I change the racers before a big race so I am adding to this post to let the people that do take them apart know it must go back a certain way.

Why not just change the bearing as a whole? Surely that this more sensible in retaining integrity? I have never seen anyone do anything other in 20 plus years of playing with these things.

The only reason why I should take my bearings apart is when it is a steel one and I have a bag full of ceramic balls. I was told the ceramic balls just cost about 11 cent a ball so that makes a cheap upgrade for the much cheaper steel bearings.

what u said roelof plus I like to take the racer out and clean the cup the balls sit in it can accumulate dirt in there... u understand now danny boy we not all as rich as u to just throw away 80 dollar bearings ...

Would love to hear some feedback on the required pipe, might have been missed due to bearing debate.

Novarossi 2660 with 41615 manifold for top end rpm or 41616 manifold for bottom end power.

I ran the .21 On Road flash all last year, but to get a good pipe and header set up its going to depend on your track size and layout.

I plan on running on a 5th scale track (big and flowing). What pipe and header should I get? Thanks.
