Probably nothing to worry about. Pour a little fresh fuel on the bearings and turn the crank a bit. If it feels like it's starting to free up, it's fine. Lube it up real good with some after run and put it back together.

Novarossi engines

Hi,

I talked to Modelsport, they could not help me.. They said that they only sold the engines on their website, and they did not plan on taking in any of the two engines i mentioned..

About Kamikazi Hobbies, how much will the freight costs be from you to the UK? (for example for the 353 engine, with exhaust pipe and manifold)

Regards,
Serpent fan

Apex models in Crowthorne should get you one in 01344 777 918. They got me a .21 nova motor and piston & liner a few weeks back, I received it in about 12 days from order + free post. The prices that you see in the USA do seem quite cheap but thats not the whole story. I have found that getting motors from their and have done many times not that cheap. By the time you add shipping cost to motor you will then have to pay import duty on that combined cost, then you will pay vat on the combined cost of the motor, shippng, import duty + vat. You may also be charged a handling fee depending on couriers used. On average i have found that you have to add around 20-22% on top of the price of the motor as the total amount that it will cost buy the time you pay everthing + the chance that it can get lost in post. Its much easier to order from UK shop and let them worry about that

Hi guys,

Thanks alot for your help, I will try checking with Apex Models and see if they can help me. I'd rather buy from a UK shop than one in America, the freight cost and VAT (and of course the waiting) doesn't appeal to me.

I used Bryron's 25%...the 353 is pre shim for 16%...add .1 shim for 20%...or .2 shim 25%-30%.

which engine

Hi,

How is the stock RB R3 compared to Novarossi Plus 12 3SCT when it comes to top speed? Also, is the torque on the stock R3 any good?

Would you say that 380 USD is a good price for this engine?

I know Kamikazehobbies has the 3SCT for 299 USD, but the problem is, it will get a bit expensive when I have to pay freight cost to Norway, as well as 24% import tax on it. (I understand that Kamikazehobbies does not want to "falsify" the shipping documents..)

Serpent fan

hi guys,im trying to get a new pipe for my new Flash.i've been using the 2015 pipe all along with my previous Novas and liked it very much.due to the inavailabilty of the pipe at my LHS,im thinking of getting an alternative.

so any recommendations to get the same performance as the 2015?how does the others compares to the 2015?
