I think you are referring to a few post back where solutions were being discussed to help reduce the pinch (tightness of engine at tdc) via using metal polish. its not ideal, more like a desperate measure.

I do both. Bursts and wot, I just go back and forth and play with it like im almost racing just longer wot bursts. I figure if you hold a motor at a certain rpm , especially wot. The fuel, super rich or not will go at certain angles and areas when im sure at lower rpm it drops down more and just changes how it flows the motor. I kinda look at it as no matter what things are getting everything if not the only bad thing of the throttle burst method would be just a bit slower to break in, since im slowing in rpm and using less fuel.

Do you carry D12X team version? I saw rc-toro has it, and they are asking for $219.
My LHS don't carry them. Anyone knows where I can get a good deal on it?

YAY, my d12x arrived today from howard cho of titan racing, he owns far to many motors so I took this one off his hands for 51 bucks, pretty chuffed with the engine, really does have a little italian flair to it 1st time I've seen silicon used on the crank of an sts motor also. dino you have surpassed yourself again! thanks also for sorting out the hs needle issue I had with my d5r, haven't tried out either engines yet due to the crap english weather.
cheers

Alright, I just purchased a D12X team version from rc-toro. $219. I looked around and think it is a pretty deal. Cannot wait to have the engine in my hand
Can anyone suggest a breakin method for this engine? Most of the time I use Joe C's heat gun method. This is the first time I get a non-japanese/italian engine.
