You can probably get a ninja conrod from nitrohouse.com I think you'll have to call them because I don't see it on their website.

As long as I can find a P/S/R and head button for my .12 sometime soon, I'll be good. Nobody seems to have them, not even last year.

I am pretty sure that the new GRP engines are the same as the Ninja's. I found this on 3hobby.net.
So for spare parts:

Reliable sources tell me that the motor is the same as the ninja A-spec motors. All they did was change the head and the color of the carb/block. Goodluck to them.

maybe the OS made ninjas will be more reliable and better? i hope for the best. i cant afford another motor

hey guys!

id just like to say that i hope im 1 of the rare few having success with this engine, cos it was on fire at my last race meet, the only thing that managed to pass it was a really high end nova.

but i do hav slight worries. wen i rebuild it after each meet, this time i noticed scratching on the backplate from the base of the conrod. should i be worried? or is this due to me not properly fitting the crank all the way back:confused:
any suggestions

thanks ;)

I noticed that too,,,right after my rod broke. Might be time for a new one.

thanks for the advice man

but jeez thats a scary thought, gotta change my rod and the engine is 2 runs old(excluding run in), if this continues ill go broke changing rods faster than tyres:lol::sweat::sweat:

Well, after your first post I really was thinking your engine was already a bit older, but you say it is 2 meetings old?
But 2 meeting doesn't say anything, how much fuel went through the engine?

Tiny "rotation" scratches on the back plate is normal, and you will see them on every engine.

In general, it is not uncommon to change the conrod right after break-in...
The advise (I believe) for Ninja engines is to change the conrod after 5 liters after break-in and from then each 7.5 liters....

so are you guys finding rebuild parts?

GRP will be supplying Ninja parts for the next two years, so parts availabilty is no issue

Thats the agreement, but the parts have been scarce since last year and most places still don't have them back in stock for over 4 months. Those two years are starting off on the wrong foot already. Parts are also expensive, and the glowplugs are one of them. Thats why I sold my Ninja. I can find more parts for O.S., Novarossi, Axe Rossi, Sirio, & JP racing than a GRP Ninja.
