Guys, why are you fighting over something you can't influence at all?
None of you has worked on the design of these engines, right? If you are happy with these engines, than that is great for you. If you don't like them, you don't have to run them. it is a fact, that the Ninja engine line has not fulfilled the hopes that a lot of people had in them and it seems that Mugen is jumping ship. All of this is no reason to get in each others hair, isn't it? |

Yeah and it does not piss me off that people had unrealistic expectations of a $400 engine. The MRT, thick money and based on the track recored looks like it did not deliver. Except the Dutch Championship.

That Mugen/Ninja where the Dutch champion, has nothing to do with this car/engine combination, it totally was the driver.
Next year Mugen/JP will probably win the Dutch championship.. :sneaky: |

it'll be interesting to see how many ninja's will be running the 1:8 nats at 301 this year. i'll be watching.
That will be interesting to see. There were quite a few .12's running, and they may be a few people hold on to them this year (maybe not the MRT version). As for the .21, I'd be surprised to see more than 5 people tops. |

I lightly tap a board and and the exhaust exit where the header goes broke. And I wasnt running a FLS pipe. Now its just paperweight. Instead of buying a new case, i bought a new JL Reddot Evo 3.
I'm still working with Mugen/GRP for a replacement but it doesn't look good, so far all they had offered is a crankcase at a discount. |
anyone try put nova JP shaft at ninja MR21 R01A,can fix or not,how is performance.....

thanks 4 that jetMD!
thought the carb was a lil fishy:nod::lol: |
I had a few probs. with that motor actually. Another crazy one was the carb. liked to pop out. I would tighten it down hard and it still popped out. I took the pinch bolt out and sanded down each side a little so it would pinch more before the 2 ends would meet. (Thanks to someone on here for that one!) That fixed it for good.
I would also suggest changing the connecting rod after breaking it in. You could probably run it a few times but I think it's a good idea to change it. That's what broke on mine. The bushing in the bottom of the rod came apart and pretty much destroyed the whole motor. Probably would of lasted a while longer if I had changed the rod. That's about all I can think of. Good luck. |
thanks for the help jetmd much appreciated.
any1 know the conrod part numba? |
I am pretty sure that the new GRP engines are the same as the Ninja's. I found this on 3hobby.net.
So for spare parts: http://www.mirageracing.com/graphics...ngine_File.pdf |
