The pipe is the same shape, it will have the same performance, the only difference is the material its made out of and the locking system from the pipe to the manifold. The weld around the stinger seems to be weak mine broke and another person on this board has had his fall off.

If there is no difference in performance and it costs more than the standard pipe then it sounds like a bit of a gimmick.
I would stick with the standard muffler unless you are a bling man

In all honesty I love the engine and the performance and swore to people a few weeks before the GLC that the pipe was the greatest. Then came the GLC not only did the stinger come off on both the hardened pipe but on the engine the exhaust port was cracked. I am sure that the same way that the 1/8 pipe has the additional piece to strengthen it the 1/0 will have that soon. Rest assured MUGEN is not running gimmicks, the advantages of the hardened pipe are in performance the pipes dimensions are slightly different and the twist lock is an advance in technology for pipes. The O ring theory is a master piece, no blow back, no leaks, no pipe movement and drop in performance makes it worth it to have on the car.
Until they make the pipe with a support bracket on the stingers strategically place some JB Quick or JB weld epoxy around the stinger to give it some back bone and it will hold up. I dont think anyone has complained about performance so it is really a point of minor flaws that I am sure will be corrected.

N.B. I am referring to the Ninja .21 pipes and not .12 pipes

I could not feel a significant difference in performance between the FLS and standard Ninja .21 pipes. This is a problem at least here in Europe because the pricing is very different - the FLS is quite a bit more expensive. Has anybody else compared the two side by side and noticed a significant difference in power?

Power is there, but is the power curve the one that makes wonders... less rip so less chances of getting screwed by himself if the driver has their throttle finger really rude.

I got to see one up close and personal on a mostly stock MTX4 and I was impressed. Not sure to say if it was faster than the JLR...though compared to the way my friend ran his I'd have to say faster. Surely with similar setups there may not be much of a difference.

but its so much fun.
