I hope they turn out to be the best RC deal of all time! Especially considering how many of you guys bought one. Does anyone remember the STS or SH Leopard? My buddy ran those with Nova carbs. He got them off ebay for like $89 shipped. They lasted 1-2 gallons and he would bitch every time they grenaded and then go buy another one.....7 engines and $600 later he could have just had 3 werks B5's

Based on just what I've seen, these do no have the same bearings (the higher end GO's and Arrows have the SKF front bearing), different case (GX style case), and difference carb (not sure what that carb is from. Slide valve looks like the old 2-needle, but housing is difference).

Really just have to wait and see when they get here.

I think you might be on the right track Monte. I bought 5 Alturn at a good price to resell, out of the 5 I dont think one was properly assembled. One had a broken piston skirt, most of them i had to chuck the cranks up in a lathe to make things right. They turned out nice when i was done with them but if the average guy ran one without doing anything to it it might not last long. The Alturn were very similar to the Arrow but the could have been older gen parts they had laying around. I will prob get more of them though, there is a market for them.

The carb looks like a Nova carb with no mid range needle. Doesn't really look like a GTR...

That was my initial though....they look like a cheap Chinese Nova knockoff (N21 maybe?)...mine should be delivered tomorrow. I will get some pics up once they arrive.

I ran sts a few years back.Engines ran good for about 5 gallons then the cranks were junk, not on the inside but the pilot shaft would wear like hell. For the money they werent bad engines.

The block/carb looks like the very first GO Sports 3 Port.
