Anyways... funds have been transferred (OUCH!!!), and hopefully the new boxes have been delivered, so shipment should be any day now!

I go so there is no play then take one shim out. That's what I run on all clutches. Were you on the track or on the road?

Both. I did what you wrote above. So I will try it later today. Hard spots on the bell?

I have a few hard spots on my bell to and It hasn't seemed to affect anything. Personally I think it's bound to happen to the bell if you run alm shoes. Just make sure there is no ridges in there. I would leave the shimming were you have it. Your shoes possibly do need to get broke in to. When I get new shoes have my pit guy push it down hard and I do a few throttle stabs and that really speeds up with how well the shoes grip.

What car are you running? I know with the MBX6, you have to use just about any other bell other than the stock Mugen one.

I guess I'm losing, I'm 19. Haha

2010 808. Using answer rc bells. I have partial sponsorship from them. I also have coupon code for those interested.

Matt, I had a similar situation on a couple of X-Ray bells after some hard running. Just little raised sections of alloy left on the inside of the bell ?
I think it's to do with the composition of the Ascendancy alloy shoes (which is very long lasting I might add).
Put the bell on a standard 3 shoe clutch with alloy shoes and do a hard, but not over the top tank. You should find the normal 3 shoe alloy shoes will have honed the alloy spots off the inside of the bell nicely. Then just emery paper for a nice smooth finish and put it back on the 4 shoe.
This has worked for me several times now.
I only get the alloy deposits on ocassion. Maybe dirt and dust gets in there and sets off the process ?
I have just started running an Ascendany 16T vented bell, so will let you know how it goes.
The X-Ray bells are good on the Ascendany 4 shoe, as the bell is just a smidge wider than others, so gives you a fractionally later clutch.
When the shoes wear down quite a bit, throw some green springs on so the clutch will engage about the same time as it did when the shoes were new with the gold springs.

By the way - the Ascendancy 4 shoe with 4 x gold springs and 4 x alloy shoes ROCKS on the new GXII's. It's just the right amount of launch without going ape !!

Just a heads up to all you USA guys (and factory drivers)... I got the notification from Taiwan that the shipment has shipped out and should be here next week! Paid preorders go out first and then we will be processing the "reserved" motors.

It's GO time!

well its the first round of the UK nationals this weekend and cant wait to unleash some GO power

if the GX-II keeps on running like it has been..and i dont run out of talent we should be ok lol

the weather doesn't look too good tho, cold, windy and raining a little.

been running a 6.5 venturi as the track is quite tight and the bottom end snap more than makes up for the sacrificial top end.
