Ruune,if you get a chance repost that pic of the decal sheet. I have searched through both threads and cannot find the post you put up with them on it. The file I got was corrupted or I'm just to computer literate to open. I've tried bitzipper and something else, just can't do it.

Got a chance to take the engine down this week before heading to Motorama. I have about 3 plus gallons on it and it's in perfect shape. Tolerances are perfect, Stock bearings look good, and p/s wear is very very good. I would say it is broken in but still having a bit more to go before it offers it's best.

I installed some TKO's in it and put it back together, next stop...Motorama. I should have a HO arriving Wednesday. Depending on what I get finished in the shop I may start the break in and start posting some videos. It's possible that I save this until I get back.

My plans are to do a break down of the engine, and what we do with them before break in, a break in video, and a finished video/time that it took.

Thanks guys!

I KNOW THE OLDER GO ENGINES WERENT THE BEST, ESPECIALLY THE CARBS, IS THE GX-5R CONSIDERED THE ''NEWER'' MILLS

The GX5R with a 2072 pipe is the ticket....the GX motors are Great and have proven to be winning motors for sure....
the 086 and 053 pipes are great on these motors aswell....i havent tried any of the Vp-Pro pipes yet

i think the 086 is more like a 2072 but has more fuel consumption
but the 053 has worked well....either way , you already have 2 good pipes for it

They are not horrible to tune. This my GX5R was my first racing mill and i learned how to tune it. Granted I had Rex there to check it, but i got the hang of it quick. A 1 hour turn on the high speeds on these motors make a good difference. So just dont make quarter turn adjustments and you will be fine. This mill has some pretty good power to it. I would pull the trigger on it and have some fun.
