Scandinavian distributor was not supposed to send out that picture. Taiwan will make an announcement with better pictures, and more accurate.

that same pic weeks ago, from a friend over-seas,
but I to was also asked to keep it under wraps.
Even if that carb isn't released on the GO U.S.A.
engines, I've still got a way to get my hands on
a couple of them.

Initially it wont be on any of the GXIIs, it is still in development. Currently we do not have a production 3 needle carb, but we will soon. We needed to make some changes to achieve the level of performance we expect from the 6th generation engines.

Good point.

anyways, The GXII-5R has been finalized for production, and I should have samples next week, for factory guys. I'm getting very few, but will be getting more from the full production run after chinese new year. I will take some pictures before I send them out to the Team drivers, but I will need to get permission from Taiwan though.

The go one will actually be different from that. a completely different casting. The one in the pic was only for testing purposes and was sent to distributors to show the direction that we are going with the engines.

Again, inferno, please remove the pic, if you havent already.

I sure hope that head design is not final. Personal opinion, but that looks like some RB design gone wrong.

it is similar, and that pic is an odd angle, plus you cant see the logo that's engraved to the case (see my avatar). This is closer to the final shape:

it's a bit more rounded than what appears in the earlier pic. Also, if you notice the other pics, it is a lower profile. This is due to the button containing 2 heatsink fins. Less heat has to be transferred to the top heatsink, so less heatsink is needed. I still have the CAD file for the earlier design, I sent my feedback on the graphics, lightening holes, and general shape. Glad to know they listen, huh?

Also, regarding the 3 needle carb. I'd been pushing for this since inception 2 years ago. This past fall/late summer, they decided to go that route. Long story short, instead of rushing a new carb to market, we're launching with a refined version of the 2 needle. That way we can make sure the all-new carb gets the dev and test time it deserves. I stand behind this decision. As those of you that know me personally, I'm the type of person that does something right or not at all.

Thanks... if you look at the profile, it looks more like when you push down on a marshmallow.

+1 deadman,I really like the look of the engine. Will be nice to see the final product.
Rex, I can't say enough about your work. Just got through running another 4 tanks through it. Just keeps getting faster, the break in shim is coming out. My temps dropped and run times were 10:30ish marks. So it is getting way to much fuel. I don't want to lean it any more. 1.5 turns in.lsn.1 turn in hsn. I will go with the standard shimming for now till I hit the 2 gallon mark. At that time I will do the rod and the rear bearing. I started with the dynamite 086 pipe and have the go 2072 pipe/manifold on it now. I run an 2010 xray 808. I went up 1 tooth on the bell[17] clutch is from answer r/c with 1.0 springs. If the GXR 7 port has the same bottom with even more top, well I'll save up find one send it to you. After I put in my gen 5.5 7 port that you did. Actually this 3port really is nice for me. Tons of low end/great top end and easy for me to control.
