Low Speed Needle: From Flush >> 1/2 Turn in.
Mid Speed Needle: From Flush >> 1 1/2 Turn Out.
High Speed Needle: From Flush >> 1 3/4 Turn in.
Does the carb look like this one?

The sleeve lip is 0.5 mm thicker in the gxii and is offset by the case being cut deeper where the sleeve sits. interchanging parts will change the timing, which could be a good thing, but it will also change the meeting incidence between the piston top edge and the taper in the sleeve, could be a bad tning, it would make the engine quite tight, possibly damaging the rod.
If its an older sleeve then the tolerances wont be as tight.

I need some more advise on needle settings for GO 3 needle carb on GO GX7.
I have the mid needle near flush as this is how it was set when I received it,any one else have experience with the 3 needle on a GX

I have been running GXII motors all year with the 3 needle carb, this is how i run mine ... lsn needs to be about 1/2 to 3/4 turn out from flush, any leaner and you starve the motor of fuel at idle, msn as you have it flush, hsn, all my motors are 1 1/2 plus turns in from flush, even while running in i was over 1 full turn in...ldle gap i run is around 0.5-0.7mm depending on how much compression they have, also use the GO2072 pipe with these motors.
What is confusing with some of the carbs the factory supplys is they flush all the needles, that means lsn and hsn are way off.
I run 25% and 30% nitroX fuel OD 97 plugs and factory shimming.

I am just putting the race tune on now.The tracks to wet so have to use the parking lot but it will get me in the ball park.I am at:
LSN - 1 1/8 out from flush
MN - 1/8 out from flush
HSN- 1 1/2 in from flush
IG - looks to be .8mm
.48 head shim
p3 plug
*correction its a GX5, the 7 is in the truggy
59 degree F
25% Byrons 1% oil
I like the 2072 also but have it on the truggy right now so through the Losi RE12 on for now for the buggy.
Will need to fine tune when I can get it on the track.Have about 3/4 gallon on it now.Looks like I ended up with close to what you have been running so it makes me feel like I know what I am doing

Seems the 3 needle really smooths out the power delivery,and thats great

Such a long time a GO since anyone posted anything in this thread, nothing all year
I guess that shows what sort of interest there is in the brand atm.
I want to wish all the guys still running GO all the best as i'm moving on due to the company no longer requiring my services as a driver.
We had a good run for the last few years, a nationals title, 2 regional titles plus podium finishes and 2 arccc buggy season champoinship wins out of the last 3 years
I'm looking forward to moving on to a brand of motor that is completely new to me and has only just started showing up down in our part of the world.

It seems a shame they are letting all the hard work slip away now.
I still have 4 motors running and a couple of backups as well.
Shane did a fantastic job of getting GO engine to the top in NZ, along with your help.
I guess we will meet in the other forum now.

We will be bringing in limited numbers of the new GXII Plus + (with standard ABC PRS internals, as opposed to the piston ring ABS versions GO will now be offering as an option in all their future products).
We currently also stock the Underdog Project "Total Solution" Kit - which includes a grunty little .21 4 Port race engine, modified 2072 pipe and header set, flywheel, 2 pce venturi set and some clutch shoes all for NZ$299 (US$245 at current rates).
If any of you guys in the US need parts for your GXII-5RHO's or GX Series motors, or are interested in any GO stock we may carry, please don't hesitate to send us an email. We have stocks of most spares that we can post over if needed.

I've not personally tried the 3R, 5R, 7R sleeves in the GXII crankcase, but I did hear on the grapevine that the performance and economy was not that hot with this set up. Likewise the GXII PRS into the older GX case.
I don't think anyone here has tried the Underdog PRS in the GXII as yet.
I've been too busy to have time to experiment, but one day......
The UDP 4 Port is a great little motor. Quite punchy, with very good top end.
They sell quite well here because of the price, but are by no means an "entry level" or "sportsman" motor. A GX3R with extended top end probably sums them up best.
GXII-5RHO parts - we have oodles of carb parts (2 and 3 needle), complete carbs, crankcases, some PRS sets, cooling heads and oodles of all O Rings.
We have rods, but I need to keep the majority of these to service all the motors we still have running here. Can spare the odd one or two.
When GO release the GXII Plus + I will get some more 21-0600 rods in.
Got some GXII-5RHO motors and motor pipe combos going real cheap at the moment to clear stock ready for the GXII Plus +. Good for donor motors maybe ? With the exchange rate and a super low price it might be an option for you guys looking for parts.
