On the ball Flanno.
It is a video of the Cairns Cup 2011 RC Meeting. The likes of Ian Haley and the boys from Adelaide's Hobby Zone Team(Darren and the boys) were all there.
Go to utube, type in CAIRNS CUP 2011 RC , and it should appear in the list, The daughter made it and is available from her, or contact me on 0409740544,(AUSTRALIAN MOBILE Number., and I can arrange for her to get a copy to you.)
$30 AU posted to any address in AUST.
Thanks mate for the enquiry.

3 Needle will fit GX and earlier. We running them here and you can expect a stronger idle, more bottom and mid as Snooks described.
We are running the 3 needle with the 7.5 restrictors as opposed to the normal 6.5 we have been using, and are still getting great run times- so more power aavailable there as well. The external throat size is the same, but the inner diameter is wider.

Try this:

This works, I must have messed up the cut and paste. :)

Thats a long haul from michigan! I lived there for 28 years myself. About 15 minutes from Flint. Oh how I DON'T miss the snow. Plus I can race all year round! lol

HI Grizz1,
Received the carbies today. Have not been able to run on the track yet, due to it being a lake instead of a track because of our wet season. After a tank full to get some heat into the chasis,( doesn't take long at 33deg C and 70% humidity) tuned the settings to:
LSN : Flush
HSN : 1 turn in
Idle gap : .7 of a mm.
2072 GO Pipe
7.5mm restrictor
( and didn't even think of touching the 3rd needle!!)
Running a 97T O'donnell Plug
25% NEO + fuel.
Standard TEAM ASSOCIATED AIR CLEANER on a RC8B Buggy.
Found the idle a little easier to tune than the 2 needle carby, noticeable low end snap improvement and smoother mid range power. Quicker to reach top revs, and the buggy seems easier and smoother to drive.
A run around a track will show it's true colours, but it certainley seems to have brought out the best in the GX11 motor.
Thanks Mate.
PS. Enjoy the video:nod:

DVD arrived today thanks Ted. Will fire it up for a look tonight

If your in the USA contact Mottomat on here. He will be able to sort it for you.
If your new to nitro and running buggy, may I suggest you look at the GXII-5RHO instead of the GX-5R.
The GX-5R is a real stump puller (great in truggy). If your new to buggy it may be a bit of a handful.
The GXII is plenty powerful, has more refinements, and is 34 grams lighter with a lower COG, so is perfect for buggy. IMO it has more drivability than the GX-5R, especially in a buggy, and especially if your new to nitro buggy.
Food for thought :)
