That's the part number i gave you.
Should have said head button and not head perhaps.
That is the turbo head button for the GX2 (the finned one)

Grizz gave u the correct part number 21-0207X for the GXII HO head button
If it's for your old GX 5R engine then it's 21-0207 !

curacing2 04-23-2012 05:15 PM

is your motor the latest GO GXII 5R HO (has the finned head button) or the previous model the GX 5R?

GO GX II Cooling Head

Hey Guys, has anyone been having this problem that I have been having?? I just started gallon #2 and have lost 2 cooling fins. Is this normal?? It can't be. Any advice or solutions would be welcome. Is there anyone I can contact about this?

Broken fins have happened on the previous version and also the GXII version of the engine. One would have thought that the problem would have been addressed, but I guess not.

Preventative action is to use fuel line between the fins to dampen vibration. Course this does nothing for you. Sorry.

I have the exact same motor in my buggy and the the fins have been fine for over 6 gallons. The first fin rattled off just after break in. This motor is in my trug if that makes a difference.

Usually that is caused from the body hitting the fins if the hole is not big enough.

Gee, that Engine / photo looks familiar :D

I do that fuel line thing and have NEVER broken a fin since, in 4 years running go engines and their big brothers

GO gen 4, 5 port (silver head) still fine and still running
GO gen 5.5, 5 port GX1 (photo above) still fine and still running
MM MG66 and MG66X 2010 and 2011 models, still fine and currently running in Buggy and back up for Truggy
MM GODZILLA 2011, still fine and current Truggy engine.
GO GX11 "fuel tubed up and clutch fitted" stiill B/N in box,
hasn't seen a drop of fuel yet as haven't needed to run it in as a back up for the above. :)

It's the harmonics in the engine that does it, the fuel tube dampens the vibrations, it must be done from day dot or ASAP before it happens as a preventative thing, not a fix after the fins brake.

Ok I will give that a try with a new head. Other than that I'm very please with the motor.
