Ask the guy with the black buggy from 1.40 onwards what clutch set up, gearing, etc he is running.

hi flanno, its a 14 yr old kid running that black agama buggy... and i think he's using a 3 alum setup. Unlike the losi 4 shoes. I'm the Yellow wheel, Black wing, Red Body Losi. In the first part... i made the jump, except a bit on the left side, which landed me flat on the ground..:) miss it.. hehehehe. Also in the video.. the orange mugen didn't made the triple.. and another made it at its back.. that was me. I just made sure i had ample space to clear the jump... what i wanted was to clear the jump without having to go wide (if it even possible)

Many many thanks.....

also wanted to ask... sorry for off topic... at 00:40 almost made the left curve but..BANG....flip over... crap.. what to do? stone on the ground?

Sweet track !! I run the Ascendancy 4 shoe (so similar to a Losi set up).
It looks like it is fairly loose on top in places. On the Ascendancy I would try 2 x carbon with .9 springs and 2 x alloy with 1.0 springs, so whatever that would equate to in Losi spring colours.

+1 on that young fella. His buggy looked pretty dialled as far as clutch and gearing for the jumps and plenty of pick up and top end down the back straight.

Pull the trigger slowly and not just yank it and you'l actually get more drive and less wheel spin ;)

So what is a good needle setting? I think my tune has gotten way off. Im new at tuning. I got the buggy running but I am going through glow plugs left and right. Im getting around 200 degrees on the motor and noticed that it really like to flame out around mid tank. I dont need an overly aggressive tune as I am new and cant handle all the power. Any suggestions?

needle settings on both my GXII's are.....
IDLE....... .07mm or .7mm
LSN...... 1/2 to 3/4 turn in from flush
HSN...... 4 hours in from flush

flamming out at mid tank is indacation that HSN is to lean, richen up HSN 1 or 2 hours. make sure idle gap is .07mm. here is a link for tuneing!

Thanks man. Im having a hard enough time learning to drive the buggy. The tune issues arent helping any. I need a good idling motor since I am currently spending alot of time on my roof. Lol!!

Also, i have the dynamite 086 and the 053. I also have a JP3 and a JP1. Which of these pipes would work best? Im currently using the 086. I have 1.0 clutch springs on carbon clutch shoes. I need smooth linear power to fit my skill level but I still would like the power on demand for the big jumps.

i run the 053 on one of mine and love it, 053 will get you nice smooth power from low to mid, 086 will get you smooth power from mid to top, i dont care much for the jp pipes, they drink alot of fuel!

I use the dynamite pipe 086 in my truggy and jp4 in my buggy. I love the 086 though.

Out of those pipes I would go for the 053 like inferno said. It is a good pipe on the GXII, but if you want the full potential out of your GXII in the way of power, smoothness and economy - bite the bullet and buy the GO ERFRA 2072. I am just under 1/4 of a tank more economical with the 2072 over a 7 min heat than with the 053, and the buggy is just so easy to drive with the GXII / 2072 combo.
