I just didn't like the tone of inferno's post that's all, but with a very large number of happy (repeat) GO customers under my belt, I'm well over it . I'm sure I just took it the wrong way. I'm such a SNAG NOT !!!
As has been mentioned on here many times, all any of us are trying to do is help others. Sometimes we may get it a little wrong, but all in all I think we help more than we hinder, at least I hope so sorry about that, dint mean it to sound the way it typed out. as for repeat customers, i am one also, these engines are great and support here is the best ive seen on any engine thread. my experience with the GXII has been great, truggy engine is broke in and buggy has 5 tanks through it. final needle setting for truggy are..... LSN......1/2 to 3/4 turn in from factory setting HSN.....3 to 4 hours in from factory setting idle...... .7mm (eyeball) these settings are still a tad rich, if i go in on the LSN anymore the engine quits from throttle to nuetrul instantly. going to finish break in today on buggy. GXII in a buggy is going to be crazy! but super smooth! my heavy finger is the only problem i see there:lol: |
No worries mate, no offence taken. I think both our posts came across the wrong way - as can quite often happen on here with the written word.
I´m glad your liking the GXII. You will love it in the buggy. Sooo much power, but so smooth. It´s not fair on the opposition really :sneaky: |

just a note, have the GXII in the buggy broke in, needle settings are near exact to the GXII in the truggy, running a 053mr pipe on the buggy and love it, i would suggest this pipe being one of the best matches to the GXII engines. seeing how the GXII has a crap ton of power from bottom to top i put a softer clutch set up on it, (losi clutch with 2 black springs with composit shoes and 2 green with aluminum shoes) super smooth and very easy to handle with still enough bottom to clear the doubles and tripples comeing out of a 180* turn! also getting better milage with the softer set up, less wheel spin and just overall fun to drive!

I was going to try the 4 composite shoes with all green, have you tried that before? Down here (west MI) most of the tracks are sand except Proving Grounds, is it sand up there also? I was looking for less wheel spin and I seen on the 2.0 thread 4 comp being used. Thanks Inferno

Well since we had lots of rain last night and this morning I decided to pull my new argus and throw the trusty GX5R in for truggy. The track dried up pretty fast being sand with lots of traction.
But the GO tuned up fast and ran hard in the sand. Qualified 11 in truggy. Got one more heat tomorrow and mains follow. |

i havent tried 4 green yet, but im sure it would be fine, just engage a split second later is all, not enough to notice though. we have hard pack dirt here. soft in spots. ive been to PG a few times and i have a hard time with traction there, just not use to the hard clay stuff, myself would stick to the 2 composit and 2 aluminum, or all aluminum with all green or 2 black and 2 green springs. are you running the points series down there?
