what plugs? I've found that OS P3 and odonnel 97T (or whatever their hot plug is) work best for me. This is with powermaster 30%, using one aluminum and one copper shim.

using the 97t (med plug) the 77t is hot. i tryed both and kept smokin them after about 5 minutes run time.

inferno - if your only running 20% and have the extra .2mm shim in your motor will be suffering some. The compression will be way too low for 20% fuel.
The Taiwanese motors like the higher nitro contents, so switch to the 30%, drop the run-in shim and go with the standard .5mm of shims that the motor came with.
Once run-in they don't like running with the extra shim - especially only on 20%. I think this will solve your problems.

well,.....not a good day today with the GX5R, flame outs all day!! smoke'in plugs all days, put the OS speed in and snapped a conrod:rolleyes:, dint have a extra rod for the OS, so measured up and compared the two, and hmmm..........threw a GO GX5R conrod in the OS SPEED and ran perfect all day, so if any one tells you the GO rod does not fit the OS speed, they are lying:lol:

Os Rods are a different length but I guess it will still run.

today i changed the front bearing, left the break in shim out and switched to 30% nitro, engine run through a hole tank with no flame outs but takes forever to get it started, it fires but wont start, i have to keep at it for a good 3 to 4 minutes then BAM it takes off:confused:

held them up side by side, length was the same and holes lined up perfectly, ran 6 tanks threw it and ran flawless.

have you put a plug in the ignitor, outside the engine to make sure that it's glowing?

Is there fuel in your fuel line?

how much pinch do you have at the top of your cylinder?

You won't get super economy with only 15 tanks through, but you might be able to crack 9 minutes (dependant on driving style and track size). 10 min might be pushing it a bit too lean with that limited amount of fuel through.
I put a reasonable race tune on my HO at the 15 tank mark, and it was more than happy to go along for the ride.

hi grizz, thanks for the tip. Will put the 6.5mm venturi even if its still at 15 tanks. Will try to get more tanks this weekend.

here is the track i'm planning to race this coming Saturday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lusn...layer_embedded

Thanks,

Thanks,

See pic on other forum of the 808 lifting the wheels with the 6.5 restrictor.
You will have no worries with power I promise. The only thing you may sacrifice with the smaller restrictor is a tiny bit of top end, but I didn't notice any lack of push at the top, and the track I was running was fast and open in a lot of places.

Nice looking track in the clip  Wish I was racing there :tire:
