there is not a setting for running 6.5 venturi because everything is going to play a factor, fuel,climate, glow plug,etc. i would reset your needles to stock and set your slide open to the venturi. and go from there. stock settings is flush on the lowend and 3 full turns out from bottom. i think?:confused:

Hobby Pro USA 02-07-2012 06:59 AM

Mid = 2 oclock/flush
Low = 2 oclock/flush
High = 3 turns out

Read through most of the thread and can see this motor is much like the vzb spec. One question though, it comes with a long LSN, right?
thanks,

+1

man for the price and durability these pipes are the best! plus i love the coating they put on the outside of it. kinda like an associated pipe. no dirt or baked on nitro fuel can hurt these things!

btw I have the RE11(mid-top end pipe) and it made my Arrow turn into a missile down the straight! I will be getting the RE10 just for tuning options at different tracks. so for $128 you can get both and you'll be good for any track you go too!

The seller hobbypros on ebay has version 2 for US$199 but his feedback page shows that he's accepted offers as low as US$160. You'd need that kind of discount to order cuz they expect $38 for postage to Aus... which is bs. It looks like this seller is related to hobby pro usa as they have the same stock ie. bullit engine, arrow engine and thunder innovation engine warmer.

Not sure how that's BS...? Unless you know of another mystery service?

I just quoted a guy shipping to AUS not too long ago. Pricing, with insurance, was about $50USD or so for our domestic mail service (cheaper than FedEx/UPS).

Well i just checked the usps website. First class mail international is US$11.60 and priority mail international is US$16.95. These are the kind of prices I've paid for engines from the US in the past if they don't offer free shipping.

Not even an engine itself will fit in a "small international box", let alone the packaging the engine comes in. ;)

At best, you could just use brown paper and wrap the engine box... in which case it's still $40 (it rounds up) - which does NOT include insurance. Insurance is at least another $5.

First-class is a joke... unless you are willing to wait at least two weeks... and it's still $30 or so with insurance. I never ship it.

Khanuen 02-12-2012 06:45 PM

Well the eBay seller wants $38 for priority mail international but I happen to know from experience that an engine sent priority international costs $16.95... So they are pocketing the difference. There are Sooo many other shops that will send you an engine for $12-$17 from the US so your argument is ridiculous. For $38 I would expect express mail. Phils hobby shop will send an engine + exhaust combo for $11.95. Yeh that option takes a couple of weeks but so what. They should at least offer that option in the drop down tab.

Fair enough. Yes, large sellers with shipping accounts do get discounts, so their prices may be cheaper. And yes, large sellers often times eat any overrun costs in shipping. Sometimes they even ship without insurance because in the long-run it's economical to do so.

This is how much it would cost me, and individual, to ship something. Who knows... maybe HobbyPro gets discounts; but it could cost much more.
