I always liked the 2050 better in buggy but the 2060 comes with the ) shaped manifold which is better for low end. I think you will be happy with either one. They are both just cheap alternatives to the $150 OS pipes

thanks James!

I was told RE11 is like a 2050 but the RE10 is not like a 2060. More of a Nova 086.

I bit the arrow  picking mine up tomorrow

i agree, i have the RE10 and 2060 and they arent really that close, the RE10 has a harder hit and not as smooth as the 2060...

dreaux 06-28-2011 04:29 PM

out of all the pipes i have the re10 is my favorite on a ninja or vzb os engines. Like it better then teh 2060.

It is also the biggest pipe by far.

how much does this engine cost? How is it power wise to the old vzb line? Is their some alterations in timing?

.rc_racer 06-28-2011 04:50 PM

i just got a arrow i just want to make sure that i am doing this right...First i am going to break it in with the enclosed break in shim. I am to run the motor WITH the shim in it for 1 gallon, after the first gallon i am to take out the break in shim and re adjust the tune on the motor and let er rip correct?

its 235, http://www.hobbyprousa.com/engines/arrow.html

and compared to the VZB line, this engine feels similar but IMHO will blow the doors off the VZB, its more power everywhere, its still smooth and all but its crazy fast. it screams. was really surprised by it. its closer to the VZB Speed imo but with a little more pep. about the same run time. mine still is new and i cant wait for it to fully break in and really make the power.

my understanding is that shim is used for 30% fuel. 20% for stock shimming. but im sure someone will have 100% definite answer.

wow that good huh? but i thought it was the same spec wise as the vzb? and is the crank a little more hardened then the vzb? Sounds good though

im gonna be picking one up myself shortly as well Gene.

dreaux 06-28-2011 06:08 PM

just saw the bullit engines. 160$ for a P/S:weird:

arrow has 20$ rods and 60$ cranks!

bullit cranks are 160$ as well.

Install the break in shim no matter what nitro percentage you are using. Start with a P3 plug. Do nor remove the extra shim until the nuts drop and the engine is ready for full out race tune. Some people have gone more than a gallon until that happens. You will know when the mecahnical pinch is gone because your tune will go rich and your temps will drop. Remove the extra shim, change to a P4 plug for optimum performance and retune from there.

its similar but def not the same. little things makes a big difference. when taking it apart, the sleeve is similar to the VZB but the crank looks different. it turns far more RPMs, i never had to give it over half throttle and it was still pulling all the engines, even SPEEDs. if you like the VZB or Speeds then you will love this engine.

i never like the VZB, i had a few and they all felt weak, this one reminds me of the JP modified one, but i still think it has a little more than it, it might just be putting the power to the ground, but it gets going in a hurry.

i heard the Bullet is a XZ-Speed basically, but they could of been wrong too. but sounds like a good engine also, i wouldnt mind trying one out.
