James and Mike have a team price worked out. I have 2 gallons on mine and it still has alot of compression. I have switched to a 7mm restrictor, changed head shims and with a 2050 pipe Im creeping around 8-9 minutes. I know the 2060 is the preferred pipe and I will try it soon. This engine seems to have a better and stronger powerband than my VSpecs. If I can get more than 5 gallons out of it I will be happy.

That is MSRP for the GTR just as retail for a VSPec is $400 and Speed is $600 but no one pays it. Keep in mind I'm this site isn't really for retail sales. Honestly these are running longer than any O.S. I've ever put fuel through. Others have said it already so I will start with some as well. It's actually better than the VSpec that it is similar to in specs.

JAMMINKRAZY 04-17-2011 05:00 PM

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification.

The real fools are os fanboiz thinkn they are the sh$% with there 400-500$ moters. The price you are lookn at fool is RETAIL man. I been plenty fast and smoked lots of vpieces with engines half the price you guys pay lol. And I know for a fact the arrow is capable of 10+ minute run times with a killer power band and WILL out last a spec.[heat shield deployed]

we should keep this forum for technical and general information about the product. we all love to hear comparison reviews but to straight out bash another product is very disrespectful. keep in mind it doesnt look good for the consumers using this product nor the company itself. lets try to keep this forum educational rather than a debate!

people can use any engine they please. why should we get mad?

JMO!

AMEN to that.... What an individual chooses to buy and run is their choice and they shouldnt get flamed of bashed for it.

I don't know how this whole price war discussion started but as a hobby shop owner I can tell you that this engine is a boat load cheaper than anything ever released by OS so that should put a quick end to the myth that you can buy an OS for $50 less.

This mill looks cool, carb seem familiar.

We ran the Arrow engine this past weekend at the Indoor Canadian Shootout and it ran strong all weekend long. The ambiant temps were in the 30's most of the weekend and the engine was a little rich due to breakin and the temps and the engine was still getting close to 10 minutes of run time so when this thing breaks in and the temps come up to normal racing temps in the summer, I bet this engine will be in the 12-13 min club all day long. The engine was flawless. Not one single flameout and the carb held the same needle settings all weekend long and was a rocketship to boot. Very impressed with the performance and ease of tune. The only thing to prove is longevity.

Thanks for that post PowerHouse.

I had the chance to pilot the new TQ car with this engine in it at tilsonburg for a few minutes. "rocket" was the only way to describe it. Very crisp, Very impressive.
