What plugs are people using with the Arrows engine?
Is the taper only suited to OS plugs?

Team Terribles driver Brandon Akiyama was Getting ridiculous run times last night! 6 minute qualifiers with over half tank of fuel left when finished! This engine has it all. Power, smoothness, steady idle, insane run times, etc, etc and it was a huge track with 70% WOT.

Details..... Which pipe, restrictor, etc??? I have been running one that has just now crossed the 3 gallon mark. With the 8mm restrictor and a Losi re11 pipe I have only managed to get 7-7 1/2 minutes....

Not sure on the restrictor but I know he is using a Nova (9901) pipe I think.
I am sure he will be on to answer your questions.

Are the tapers different on the plugs? I am just worried about sealing. I was always under the impression that OS plugs have a unique taper?

Thanks man... I really do like how smooth the engine is.... But Im liking the Alpha run times... If I can get close to 10 minutes I will run this engine more than I do now..

do you pull out the break in shim? The 8MM restrictor is too large. Go to 6.5 what fuel are you running? Lower your Throttle EPA to 70%..anything more than that is just wasted power and fuel. also, check your idle. The idle gap should be just a tic opened. somewhere around .3-.4 MM. Use a colder plug like P4 or P5 and then tune around your idle and plug. You would be amazed what happens when its all set up properly..PS. These methods work with all engines.

Im running the thinnest shim, have recently installed a 7mm restrictor and am only using about 60% of the throttle throw. Im running VooDoo 30% nitro and a VooDoo #6 plug (p4) I had heard also that the RE10 pipe was a better suit for this engine but havent had the chance to try it.

Well your ambient conditions are similar to AZ so it can only be the pipe, your track surface, your trigger finger or your tune. Try negative expo on your throttle servo. That may help smooth things out and get you better run time. There are never any guarantees that one guys 10 minute engine will get the same run time from another driver on another track, but so far everyone but you is claiming fantastic run times with this engine so I think there is a reason for that.

Im thinking the pipe... Just kinda wanted to see what everyone else was running. Im fairly smooth with the throttle finger and its much easier to be smooth with this engine. The next club race i will try a little more in depth research as far as different pipes and will try the 6.5 restrictor....
