Here are some pics of the other engines.

I love these factory modified full circle cranks!

the pistons have numbers on them, I beleive it is to sort them for fit to the sleeve.

Ok guys Thanks but what motor for the buggy with smooth power.

I finally got some timing #'s off the 4 engines. The A5 is probably the smoothest in a buggy, the D52 also looks like it should have great top end. I like your idea of trying the .23 in your truggy.:tire:

Rex I am thinking about picking up a .23 just to try out. I am just curious as to power and runtime this motor is capable of.

I had to wipe my mouth when I saw the pics of the motors....can't wait to dig my claws into 1.:sneaky::tire:

Question on the pipe with the stingers. Some some day this is beard of the alpha does that make the pipe the Dame. Our is the wall of the pipe thinner than the alpha pipe set. So we got the 23 and a5.i do have enough of pipe to try but I would also like to try there pipe with there engine for buggy.

I have not tried the Tb-1 pipe yet, Argus also has the 0801.

I tried a few pipes on my A52 back in the day.. The JP-4 for ex. was decent. But when I finally got the 0801 on it, it was just a great match.

I'd like to know more about the D52. Is it going to be a straight-up twin of the A852, or different at all?

The D52 is not the same as the A852, should have a little more top end but still a strong bottom. The Lutz and A852 share the same sleeve and the R8 is also the same sleeve.

I have used an 0801 pipe on the Argus A52 in my Truggy. It produced great power specially on the bottom end. I can't wait to try the other Argus motors. I have nothing but good things to say about the Argus engines I have had.

Rex,

My first motor arrived today. I of course took it apart and looked it over. Motor looks good. And got it back together and into my D8t and have 700cc through the motor. Had to make a few needle adjustments on the motor but I was also using my comp. heat warmer. It's nice to run a motor at 240 f and it still be fat...hehehehe After the 2 tank I took it and put it on the ground and had to lean the bottom a itch to get it to move the truggy without the motor lugging. And I must say even with break in/fat settings the motors are extremely peppy, I am using a Alpha 0801 pipe for now.

First start up after priming the tank it rolled over a couple times and she rumbled to life and idled like a sewing machine. And the cosmetics of the motor looks really good as well. I put it on the ground for some resistance from pulling it's self and fought the temptation to pull full wood on the motor. I kept reminding myself get it to or close to the 1,000 cc mark and then get on it gently...but I am about 300 cc short as I got holiday events to goto and attend tonight. Looking forward to really seeing what this motor can do as she comes around...

I forgot to add that the pinch on these motors are no where near as bad as the Alpha's or GO motors.

Thanks Russ, Just had some personal things happen and had to cut way back and tend to family and well let's face it the ole body is not what it used to be. I will be around. I will be making 1 or 2 road trips to some national races not sure which ones yet but will mainly go back to where this hobby should be focused on the club racing events.
