Out of a few hundred motors, I only know of one that has had an issue (and it was something stupid...cant remember what it was). Customer contacted Argus USA and sent the motor back. Once Argus determined that it wasnt due to user error, they sent him a brand new motor in return and had him up an running within a week.

Although the motors are great and you should not have any issues, it appears that they will stand behind the product as good if not better than most I have seen.

Has anyone tried the Avid ceramic bearings before? i was thinking about trying some after about 2 gal mark.

Have not tried Avid, We carry TKO bearings and have had great results :)

I have yet to se a bad Argus bearing so far, stock ones have proven to be very good.

I don't know of anyone who has had to get any support, so I don't think anyone knows!

Thus far I am flat out impressed with mine. Ran mine in my truggy for the first time (been in my buggy thus far) and put on a real crisp tune on it and the thing was VERY good for power. With the Alpha 0801 Pipe it has a very linear power-band.

As far as trying a different carb, I don't see any problem with the carb that is on it, for me at least.

This engine has been quite easy to tune, for me at least. I actually find myself on the rich side because the engine runs so well, even with a real rich tune on it.

I'm with you on that with the carby just know of a few people that have aand just wondering if anyone else has.... i'm really impressed with this motor and still find the 2035 my pipe of choice with this motor and getting 9.30 min run time with it as well

I figured I would throw a tune on my motor during my lunch break for tonights practice. And boy does this motor sounds mean in a parking ramp lol
Tuned up fast and is making very great power.

Will piston/liner/conrod from Alpha One fit this engine? I m asking cause last weekend during race my Argus just stop on the track, when my pit crew tried to restart it the flywheel was jam, intially i thought the conrod broke. Today I opened up the engine and saw that the conrod was fine, then found out that one of the wrist pin C clip came undone and got sandwiched between the piston and the cylinder leaving both with deep scratches. The only fast solution to get me up and running is to get a set of Piston/Cylinder/Conrod set from an Alpha One (which is available at my LHS). I understand this engine was made from the same manufacturer. Pics as below. Can anybody confirm this can be done?

I have not swapped internals between an Argus and an Alpha but I am sure they are the same and you will have no problems.

Ah man that stinks! Out of curiosity, How much time was on your engine when this happened.

I know this can happen to any engines, infact I had a few experience like this before (in nitro onroad) with top Italian and Japanese brand engines which cost 3-5 times more than Argus. So definitely not Argus quality problem. As I said I love this engine, easier to tune and power is everywhere.

I guess that answers some questions about the service. Great! Makes me even more excited about the success of the Argus. Great price, awesome performance, and great customer service.
