So I was looking at the new xzb v2 and the piston rod and sleeve shares the same part number as the speed spec 2. So is there a new speed motor coming out?

Con rod is also different. Although I have both side by side here at the shop and I cannot visually see any difference other than maybe the oil duct is about 1mm longer for the spec 2. I have not measured any of the bushing sizes though but laying one on top of the other they appear identical.

So now I must buy the spec II engine ? Hehehe, maybe I will think twice before I buy it, because I'm a min budget racer hehehe.
By the way, thank you all for the info.

Spec II has a shorter conrod and the piston sits lower in the sleeve. If you use the Spec II setup in your old speed you will damage your piston becasue the backplate is new. Piston will heat the backplate.... So, be my guest and try...

BO2 ninja piston rod and sleve is a direct fit ,same as XZB (non speed) PSR.

I was just looking at the "under the hood" pics on neobuggy and Tessman was running the XZ speed not the Spec II or at least the head...
Wonder why...

I was also looking at the "under the hood" pics on neobuggy of Tessman's vehicle. In one pic of the engine, the HSN sure looks cranked down lean. Is this normal?

I believe this is the right pic for Tessman.
