Can anyone recommend a pipe to run with it that still gives plenty of power but with decent runtime? An alternative to the os pipes would be good as they are a little pricey.

I like the look of the losi pipes but dont know if they would work well and which one to choose?

I was also looking at a jammin jp4, anyone had any experience of this pipe on a xzb? (i like the fact its a hardcoated and cleans up well )
How do you find the power on the S7? Is it smooth? What do you feel is a good price for one, since it is basically an OS speed xzb .21 spec 1.

The engine is very responsive throughout the rev range. It has a lot of bottom end punch. With the 086 pipe it really screams at the top but like i said before with this pipe the fuel economy isnt great.

I paid $250 for mine with an sworkz tb1 pipe which i haven't used yet.

The Losi pipe, RE10 and RE11, are copies of the OS 2050 and 2060, they work great, and they are hard coated Black.
And they are in the price range of about 60 bucks with header included.

I think its only the cooling head that is different. Everything else is the same. With the sworkz engine it only comes with the 6.5mm venturi whereas the OS speeds come with all the venturis.

Thanks for the info, i will have to take a look at them. I have also looked at the Bullit 2042 which is the same as the os 2060.

I reckon i will get a sworkz 2089 pipe which is the same as the os 2090 which everyone says works best with the XZB range.

Not too cheap unfortunately they are £100 from RC Monkey which is about £45 cheaper than the OS equivalent.

Have you heard anything else? On the motors.

Heard it's a XZB Spec 3 but no info on release date yet.

There have been lots of complaints on runtime and the VZB bearing issue seems to have resurfaced.

The first XZB Speed had no bearing issues and had good balance, the spec 2 on the other hand is having main bearing issues and I suspect it is because of the lightened piston and rod. My theory, and it is only a theory mind, is that the slug needs to be omitted from the crank. It will be interesting to see what changes are made.

I have rebalanced one of my Spec 2's (the same way I did the VZB's) after having a main bearing fail after only 6 litres and so far it has done over 15 litres with no more issues yet. There was no rust or anything done to cause the failure of the first bearing, it just got notchy so I changed it.
