I'm putting it into my D8T, and even thought I've lightened up most of the drive train components I don't think it's light in overall weight by any means. The B5 is replacing a Nova +4 with a 3 shoe clutch, so I'm really looking forward to the overall changes. I thought the flywheel weights were more of a tuning element for track conditions, not for overall vehicle weight (which when you think about it would certainly effect wheel-spin and traction). You learn something new on here every day! Most of our tracks around here are very blown out, loose and slippery if you stray the least bit out of the groove. Also I meant to ask you which plug you're running? Thanks for all of the info!

They are more of a track tuning option, but I like to take other factors into consideration like the weight of my truggy..I just think that a light truggy may break traction easier running the same engine. Your driving style will also determine wether you need them or not. On a loose track, you'd certainly benefit from the weights in my opinion.
I'm curious how much more power you're going to gain over the Plus 4..it should be substantial on the bottom to mid range. What kind of runtime were you getting with the Plus 4..I speculate that the Clocked B5 will match it in a truggy, but with much more power on tap..even the mighty FMS bows down to this one IMO from what I've witnessed.

I will be pulling the trigger on the jpx tomorrow. I agonized over this decision for a couple days (not agonizing really), and it came down to the jl and the jpx. Unfortunately the werks was out because with pipe it would have cost me 400. I already have the pipe for the jpx and the jl with the jp3 would be about the same as well. Then since i was splitting hairs, i decided to go with more bottom end then top end. hope i made a good choice.
the pipes i have are the re10, re11, and a 086. Will any of these work with the werks?

yeah, that is why i will be getting jpx. It's a tough decision deciding between the jpx and jl. I have never seen these two motors run. Stock or modified.
just wanted something different then o.s. for now. going to southern nationals.
