Now that's a fabulous engine. I hated leaving early, but it was good call cuz I barely made it home. I'll let you guys run my clocked 21's. They get the job done nicely.

In round 6 of the Minnesota Off Road Series over the weekend, Josh ran his usual suspects for engines. A Clocked Beat 4 in buggy and Nova Bonito in Truggy. Buggy round 1 didn't go as planned, the engine had been flying all practice and in warm ups, but 2 minutes in, the rod let go. Broke out the other Clocked BEAT 4, Neal had lapped it in only, we quickly ran 3 tanks through it and hit track for round 2, ran flawless and took a 2nd for the round, not bad for Josh complaining it was to rich yet..lol round 3 took place late in the day as we had a 3 hour rain delay, temp dropped 15 degrees and humidity out of the air. Leaned engine slightly and he was happy with tune, ended up 3rd for the round, put him 4th on the grid for main. He ended up 4th, track was in a transition stage and slick so he couldn't charge hard.. Engine was mated to Nova 9886 pipe and Bones Fuel. During the main Josh was only using 100cc at his 7.5 minute stops and for him that's great.
In Truggy, he had a 2nd, and 2-3rds placing him 3rd in main.. The Bonito in 2 years old and has probably 10 gallons through it. Ran flawless in qualifying, Josh did pinch it before this weekend as he does have his own stuff he designed to do the pinching. In the main it flamed out and 5 minute mark from landing on rock during hard landing, refired it and back out he went happened again 3 minutes later, at that time I raised the idle. Figured it had freed up from the pinch..ran great the rest of the race and he ended up 7th.. Not bad for a couple flame outs.
Might be time to put in our other Bonito or the the Beat 7 when Neal is done working his magic on it..
Thanks you to Neal for some awesome engines, no one motors Josh down the straights and power to spare..
Next series race is 3rd weekend in October at the Motodome near Staples Minnesota, which is a huge dome that will have amazing elevation changes in it..usually get to race with Neal's main test driver Nick Moxley that weekend as he makes the trip across the border to race with us..

If I spend $300 on a motor and it goes after I spend at least that amount in fuel.... It was worth it.
$30 a gallon times 10 gallons........ Yeah, Im happy with that.
Now do I expect a $500 motor to last longer than a $300 motor. No, but there are always exceptions....

well a miracle has happened and our track was actually dry enough to run some laps... So today was OS Speed day...or 2 close variants, So first up is the Clocked Protek Samarai , which is of course very much a VZB Speed .... So here is Nick ripping some laps in his old Losi 2.0... If you listen closely you can hear the lash in his drivetrain ... Regardless this modified Samarai hauls ass in a big way.... Has great power and RPM seems to be quite good on fuel...

Dan is correct, 100% Manitoba Gumbo, Ive sourced it a few different places over the year's but the majority of it came from a Giant Auger bit they use to do the sewers about 5-10 min from the track.
