I Am not sure, but I believe it is in the oil.....it works perfectly fine in a stock engine, but is unstable and detonates badly in the modified engines........
Also it is terrible for breakins, you will sit there for a year trying to get the pinch knocked out of a engine.....the synthetics used protect extremely well under lower loads and RPM...which works against breakin...However at high RPM's and loads the oil breaks down and leaves the engine very unprotected.........Nothing wrong with the fuel, but its not suitable for a high RPM, high compression modified race engine.....

If your buying a stock engine then that fuel would probably work fine for you ....The issue is the modified engines we produce here at Clockwork run higher compression as well as RPM so we put higher demands on the fuels... Not only do we require stronger lubrication we also need a strong ability to create a hydraulic seal inside the crankcase, The modified engines run much higher crankcase vacuum and some fuels are unable to properly seal the crankcase.. If the crankcase doesn't seal correctly the engines will not run very well...Its not that anything is bad, its just over the years we have found certain fuels will run much better in the modifieds then other fuels will.....

Neal rang you earlier, but nobody was home. Just checking in on our new baby. Need to grab some fuel and the 41019 header. Maybe a brass Buku as well with heavy Komposite shoes?
Bill I would love to know some of your Kyosho setups. I hear you really lay it down out at Fear Farm. Rob thanks for the Buku spring setting suggestions...gave them a workout recently and really liked the feel. No more low end bog.

We've got a couple BTTS's arriving soon, hopefully the Keepoff's will be in with that order too

I have to say I am impressed with the p5 I haven't got to really lay into it yet. But so far wow. Awesome.
Ok I have a few question. I have 9 tanks through it. I have a slightly rich tune on it still.
1. I want to go race tmro night with it. I plan on getting there hours befor race time to get some more tanks through it. But do u think it will be ok to put a race day on it now?
2. I got the 086 pipe with my p5 but was wondering I'm running it in truggy
Would I be better off running a 2058 pipe I have instead of the 086.
3. What do y'all think about vp power master 30/9 fuel?

Rob. I just ran my MP9 on the road with a BUKU clutch. After about 2 minutes I thought exactly what you are saying. Whatever CRE is doing with this new version of P5 is unbelievable.
I also limited my throttle travel to about 65-70% open area of the 7mm restrictor. No notable difference in a 75-100 yard run. Could only notice it if I wound it out for about 150 yards. I'm thinking I will get better mileage, as on this carb the LSN does not protrude out at these settings, thus limiting fuel flow (probably unwanted fuel flow).
I'm going to try it on the track, as is, and then probably go to the brass flywheel to harness some of this crazy power!!!!!!! I'm loving it!

Good luck next week at DNC, as the Clocked P5 looks FAST. I just wish we were racing here in the Midwest instead of cold and gloomy.

Well can we share some of those tension settings with fellow Buk's of Hazards? Lol
