CLOCKED BANITO TO THE RESCUE
Ok let me explain, went to the n.s.w state titles last week with my new Alpha engine that had 3.5 litres of run in on the black top, never seen a track at all ( was still tight with the plug out and at 240f ) Grrr, first practice heat the engine run great, second practice heat the engine flamed, third practice heat the engine flamed again...... Only thing to do rip it out before the qualifing and in with the clocked beast, quick tune on the box and out she goes, runs like clockwork from heat 1 to heat 6 and places me high in the C main bump up final, now the fun and games begin, 10 minute pit stops make the 30 minute bump up easy finishing 3rd and bumping to the B main final, Start in position 13 in the B main final and again the 10 minute pit stops give me a jump on all the guys doing the extra stop ( even had a 11.20 pit stop giving the my pitman a heart attack ) but just chipped away at the 15 car field and finished 5th securing a grid position in the A main as car 15. The 45 min A main was full of super fast guys but the clockwork modified banito just kept singing that song only CRE engine owners knows, scream scream scream, rev rev rev and worked my way up to finish 8th overall for the event with the win going to Matt Griffin ( team mugen japan ) so was really happy to have that clocked banito sitting in the bottom of my pit bag. P.S - spent today at the track testing the alpha and found that the plug brand was the issue of my flame out's all along, changed the plug brand and ran 2 litres through the engine today at race pace with out one issue at all. Now for part two of the story, my pitman had issues with his 4 litre old HES nova that just would not idle after his 2nd practice heat, so a quick pull down of his motor revealed the good old front bearing had been sucking fine dirt which had grazzed the crack, scored the piston and sleeve rendering it a paper weight for the 3 day event ( so what to do ) crack out another clockwork modified P5 to the rescue and put it into his buggy which then ran for the complete event with out issue. Neal & John you guys saved the day for two guys 1000 klms from home and got us good results, thumbs up from down under :) And your sponsored by Alpha? and your plugging CRE Nova's :weird: |

Recently attended a race in Mayfield Kentucky (Race For Life). Great 3 day race. About 90 people attending. Organization, company donations, race track design and conditions were all spectacular. Approx $2,600 was raised for cancer research. TQ'ed expert truggy Came in 2nd in the 30 min A main after busting my front left arm with 2 laps to go, grrrrrrr! My modded Clockwork racing Nova 28 performed flawlessly all weekend. Bottom end is crazy. Makes jumps and rhythm sections easy. TQ'ed expert buggy and went on to win the 30 min A main. Used my modded Clockwork Nova 4 plus BTT. When I needed power it was there, bottom, mid or top. Definitely my go to engine for now on. Thanks Neal for the great custom mod jobs on both engines. However, the weekend did not end there. A very nice young man named Chase asked me if I would like to try his Kyosho St-RR Evo truggy with a new modded Nova from Clockwork Racing called "Proto 7". A Nova P5 with a Nova on-road 7 port piston and sleeve. He had a Nova 9886 pipe with a 410001 manifold. This engine was crazy fast. Equal or stronger bottom than my 28 with wild mid and top ends. I did not want to stop driving this beast. I kept waiting for it to run out of fuel, but it kept going for about 11 1/2 minutes and I was driving it like I stole it. I tried to trade him two engines for his Proto 7 but no go!!!!!!!!!! Chase is going to be a real contender next year with the Kyosho/Proto 7 combination. Thanks Chase! Neal I need one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Badly!!!!!!!!!!!! |
First event with the Alpha engine ended due the plugs I was running, so as stated above went to what I know for the event, got home cleaned the CRE nova and put it in the pit bag and went and did some testing with the Alpha.
It was just a shame that the Alpha's arrived 3 days before the event and I only had time to run it in on the road and didnt have time to track test it before driving 1000 klms for an event, lesson learnt, next time make sure the engine im running is broken in completely and ready for the event with some track testing. I will always premote CRE products as they are fantastic and the team are a great bunch of guys, but all CRE owners all ready know that :) |
Just got a text from the girlfriend that a certain yellow truck with red letters dropped off a package! Can't wait to get home!

Big thanks to Neil and everyone at Clockwork Racing Engines for all their help and support. Ran my first CRE novarossi motors this weekend. Got a Proto 7 and a PLUS-4T from Neil to try out. Both of these motors are great, amazing power and good run time. I got to run the Proto 7 a little more than the 4T, and it was great. I was able to qualify 2nd and Win in the Pro Buggy A-Main, while the CRE Proto 7 ran amazing. Telly Young was also able to bring home the win in sportsman buggy with his CRE P5. My first impressions of everything Neil and the crew do are great, and im proud to be a part of the CRE Team. Thanks Neil and crew.

Just ordered me a clocked bonito:D:D:D:D
|
Got my CRE Ninja B02 broke in today. Managed to sneak in some track time also. By far my faverote motor to date. It's still on the rich side but man it fits my driving style to a T. It has plenty of power but it's delivery is so smooth you can really put the power down. Can't wait to get a full race tune on this beast.
Thanks for everything Neal, this motor is pure awesome. |
That's a badaxx engine for sure between the proto and B02 but the Bonito is a work or art. The Roma is a top a line engine some steer awaycause they think its too much buts its a smooth engine considering if you want to stand out in a awesome way that's a great selection.

you guys are awesome !!!! thank you for your support !

To quite around here:tire::tire::tire:

My Bonito is off the chain, still running rich, and not more than 3/4 throttle. Sick engine, and yes it is a work of art, as stated above.
