Hi, I have the CRE Modded RB Fire 11 in a Mugen MBX6R Buggy.
Was looking to find the best pipe / header combination for this set up for best run times. Would the Novarossi 9886 pipe be the best for this setup? If so what header would you recommend for this pipe? Any information is appreciated. Cheers. |

Ran my Clocked Ninja last night in my truggy. Ran Awesome!! So Far another top favorite motor. Bonito, Ninja, P5, RB Ninja Pulls awesome, whips the truck around no problem.

Well, I've only got 6 tanks on my Bonito since Neal broke it in, looks like I will have to run a little rich for the race on sunday, rained all week, no time to run in engine fully....
Even running rich though, the engine runs awesome, idles forever very well, 086 is a great pipe for it for sure. |

So the 9886 would be the best bet for good run times then i take it? What would you suggest for the best header for this pipe for run time between the 41021 and 41001 that is? It is running the Mugen MBX6R buggy. Chers. |

New works plugs
Hey guys just picked up a few Werks plugs(#6) from CRE and it looks like they have been completely redone. I had a coupe older Werks plugs that were still brand new and the newer ones burn brighter and have a different body design.
Checked them against a couple Nova(c6) plugs as well and again the new Werks plugs burned better. They sure did make my CRE engines purr. |

You noticed a difference between them and the nova plugs?
Can't go wrong with the new Werks plugs. |

Did the running tests back to back on Werks plugs. The newer ones performed slightly better, especially at idle and low end. Just did an igniter test with the Nova plugs (kids were ready to hit the pool, so had to put the toys away) so need more testing.

Ok cool. So if I went to my LHS and got some Werks plugs, how would I know they're the new ones?

Yesterday was my 2nd race with the CRE P5. It was fully broken in, and we had put some ceramics in it. Wow these engine is sick fast! It was still running a bit rich on top but the power was unbelievable.. quit smooth and so fast.. If you need power you'll get it. I was able to overjump everyone with a smaller run on, also the runtimes were alot better.. With my Werks B5 a reached 8 min. max on that track, now i was able to pit at 10.
Such a shame my Serpent did not hold up, the rear driveshaft broke LOL I could not be happier with an engine! Thanks CRE! |
Anybody ever have problems with the slug in the crank coming out of their Werks motors??
I bring this up as it happened to me this weekend. I ran about 15 minutes of prctice and after the 1st heat motor was a little off comming out of some of the slower sections. Apparently, the slug started to work its way out. As it did, it started to mill down the rod. it went about 80% thru the rod before it lock up and died on me comeing down the front stretch. I thought I was out of fuel. :weird: Found out the flywheel was locked up, pulled the back plate off and saw metal shards everywhere and the slug fell out. Pulled the head off to get to the mount bolts easier and pulled the sleeve and piston. Boy was I supprised to see that thing. I will post some pics tonight. It was spectacular. :D Put in my back up CRE B5, qualled 4th for the mains and blew up the brand new clutch bearings I installed before the main durring the warm up laps. Some days it just doesnt pay to unload you equipment from the trailer:cry: |

We very quickly refined the procedure and not had any further issue with the slugged Werks cranks... |
