The Bonito is proving to be quite a versatile engine. I got a few more tanks through it this morning, dropped in a werks #6 plug, leaned it out a little and it is ready. The tuning on this engine is nice and pretty much OS easy (if I can say that) IMO so far the CRE Bonito is as potent if not more that the XZ speed. So I can only confirm what Neal and James and Nick and..... have been telling me for awhile. Some modded engines have a very picky tuning window and are very pipe picky as well. Thats not the case here. I have an extra short header on the 9886 pipe and I will prob swap it to the short header for the track I am running on now. The Bonito is good :D

For sure, CRE is sending a con rod free of charge and I'm not even a customer yet!

Too bad they are so far up north. How about a CRE Northern California office? You have to drive to the mountains to find snow here.....
65 degrees F today. :D:D:D

Finally fired up my Bonito tonight and holy crap is she sweet! It doesn't have anything close to a tune on it, and already the response is amazing, and it purrs like a kitten! The way it spools up when the bottom end is cleaned out is scary! Can't wait to get her on the track this weekend!

Finally got to run my CRE p5 today and man does it have nice smooth power. It pulls hard all the way to the top. Im very impressed considering its still being broken in. Thank you Neal and John!!! :sneaky:

I am itching to get my hands on the new Nova 25 ROMA !!

here is a video of a Nova 28-7 I did for MT that we converted to Truggy....this is in my 6T, running a 14th bell but really should be running a 15th bell........ This particular engine I did in the very early spring for a customer and the results were so dam good we had to play with the rest of the Nova lineup........This 28 has been rock solid, fast as hell and ultra easy to tune..... This here is my prototype mod for the 28-7 and since this particular engine I have made some upgrades....Including tungsten slugging the crank, and adding even more induction timing on the crank....As well as a little more aggressive head button......SO the newest 28-7 is even nastier then this one.....

for a 28 this monster has insane RPM capacity....No really much of a track engine, but sure is fun to drive ...Anyways bring on the ROMA !

That doesn't even act like a 28. Sounds like it has a 21 like power curve. Really revs up high and gets there in a hurry. Looks like a hoot to me! I can't wait to race. The last 2 seasons sucked. Time to get back in the groove. I'll be ordering in 7-10 days.

Losi setup will work...but i much prefer a M2C in Truggy

we are still undecided what pipe is best in Buggy.....a 9886 ,086,2096,2058 all seem to be doing well on it.....seems a short smooth flow header has the smoothest feel......this engine is not very pipe picky, seems to run good on almost everything you put on it
