TecnoPower Engine Thread ( From Rody Roem )
#421
Yea, I run an RB WS7 III, 2045/ 192, on big tracks, like The Nitro Pit, on shorter tracks, I go with the 198 header, it really gives that 7 port some bottom. I was just wondering if the 198 header will be to much bottom on the tecnopower 5 port. I going to useit in a Losi truggy 2.0. Depending on power band, I can go with different clutch shoes2 slum, 2 carbon. At times I switch engines over to a C6, it gets 10 plus minutes on tank of fuel, if I use a 6.5 resrtictor in the tecnopower will it improve the fuel much more? Has anyone tried the 6.5 in the Tecnopower?

well i got a very good chance to run the bo1 and to1
bo1 was good all day finally broke in at the 2 gallon mark.... motor temps where 200-210 all day.. was consistant 10.30 to with a 7mm restrictor in buggy.. odonnell fuel.. 1.1 clutch ( which a 1.0 will be put in for next race) with aluminum 3 shoe clutch.. very smooth nice usable power band no complaints here on this motor...
to1 was good all day but still has a bit to go before it gets broke in.. have around 1.5 gallons on it and still has crazy pinch.. even without the plug in it will stop by the pinch... was geting 11 mins easy with a tad left in the tank in the truggy.. motor temps never seen over 200* all day.. crazy crazy power out of this mill... we had this 1 jump right off a corner and the buggys could just make it.. very few truggy where making it but i had no problems all day with it... qualified 4th in the "a' and we took off.. got to the lead by lap 3.. started to pull away from the pack and yup around lap 10-11 the worst thing possible happend.. a lapped car missed a jump and landed in the straightaway... well going full wood down the straight i hit him head on.. ripped the hole left side of the truck off.. left front arm, left rear arm, exhaust got removed and wing broke... and ya know the kicker... that truck drove away from the blast..... thank to tony and rody for thess great engines... got alot of questions on the motors.. this will be the must have engine in truggy this summer.. the best of the best in my eyes.. bottom of a .25-.28 and the rpm's of the .21's.. this motor is hands down better than the c6 he made years ago... thank you again.. jeremy

I use OS P4's. Don't forget though I'm in Australia so the weather is a bit warmer here. Once the winter season arrives I may need to run a hotter plug to compensate for the cooler weather. But once again, the coldest I have ever raced in is about 15 degrees Celsius.

Part#0101001-BLG, however this head does not fit on the square shaped crankcase of the B01 type engines sorry.
