It is a fast track, 33-35 sec per round.
The engine has the rear ceramic bearing.
It was broken in on ebis for 240minutes, then about 1L up to 50% throttle and it has about 2 gallons through it. I can lean it a little bit more if i want to.
The temps are steady between 220-230 F with ambient temp of 35 celsius and about 80% humidity.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on what’s the best engine for a truggy from what’s currently available. First choice would be a .28 or a Roma but I won’t be able to get one of those until the factory open backs up. So I have been looking at the .21 engines and seems like the Bonito would be a good pick and I found some for sale.
What about the virtus, p5xlt, rolling or Mito? I also found a New old stock crono RS8 for sale. Does anyone have any thoughts on what would be best for my serpent truggy. It will be used for bashing and hopefully next year I can get into some local racing and buy a different engine for that. I’ve been doing some reading and it seems like the bonito may be my best bet but would love any suggestions. Thanks

Bonito for sure..

Ran the Mito 7 and its a great engine. Had the ceramic bearing unit. What Adam Drake use to run. It was an awesome engine. I run a reds scuderia now and would say they are similar. For the price the Mito is a better deal.

Thanks guys. I’ll do some more research on the Mito. I Can get a Bonito for under $200 and that seems like a good deal.

I also have a used Roma I picked up and was thinking of sending it to someone to go through it and fix anything that may need fixing and maybe putting a mod on it. Does anyone have a preference on who I should send it to? I’ve read about RB mods, RW mods and RC Renew. I no I don’t need a mod since I’m just starting out but if I send it out to have someone go over it I might as well have it modded.

Bonito

The bonito is a solid truggy motor.

AMR racing - Arron Morrison is who you want. He’s on Facebook.

+2 on going with AMR. Arron is an awesome guy and will take care of you!!

Thanks, I’ll check out AMR. I ended up buying a Bonito and will likely send it in for break in an a mod.

I had the same questing when I was looking for a new engine for my truggy and was told the Bonito was a good choice. What vehicle are you putting the engine in and are you racing or bashing? I ended up buying a new Bonito. After I bought it I talked to someone about modding the engine and they said the new Bonito is different than the old one but would still be good for truggy if I put on a carb from the Roma or 28. Not sure if he meant it was different in that now they use a different carb.

For buggy, and racing, i have now argus (i bought it, because i need something cheap), now I have some money to buy better engine. I have already Mito on my onroad car so Novarossi is the best for me.

another option: UR3301-4RZ
