I always ran the stock restrictor, because I thought the engine companies put
in the best overall restrictor for that particular engine, but that may not be in
all cases. My FMS seemed to have a rich stumble and miss in the mid to upper
rpm range that I could not tune out with the HSN when using the 9853/41021
w/OD#97t and 25% nitro. I love the 9853's low-end punch. I'm thinking maybe
I should try the 7.5mm or 8mm venturi to get more oxygen in the mix? The
stock is a 6.5mm. Now I'm runnig a 9901 which runs great, but I miss the
9853's punch.
yes , use the 7.5mm venturi on the fms if you need that extra 30 sec. go back to 6.5mm

and try the 41005 header on the 9853

Thanks Monty I'll try the 7.5mm. I won't need the 30 sec of the 6.5mm, because I'm getting way over 10 mins a tank.

Nothing wrong with learning Wes

I would say p5xl to the guy with question about plus4 or p5.

P5xl/9853ss/41005. Really big track 9886/41021

The plus 4 is good but the 5 port just has that little extra.

Default after run oil

What can I safely use for storage oil in the FMS? Something I can get at Wally World or auto parts store.

just wondering cause i have seen a few factory filled silicone crank fillings come loose to what i deduced to be the MMO , and wd40 is a big no no with the silicone filling

full synthetic works excellent imo.

that rb mods ARO is the best period !!!

Thumbs up engines

i,ve been using 2 and 4 stroke fogging oil for a couple years now i use it instead of after run oil it works great for the bearings in any motor for storage also never had it hurt the silicone in the cranks and it starts up easy and 1 spray can last forever for 7 to 10 dollars

Just got 1.5 Gallons through my N21R Limited 3 Port. This little Engine is awesome! Still has a bunch of metal to metal pinch. Timed a few tanks today, Ran out at 10:21, 10:25, 10:30. I'm using the 6.5 Restrictor, 9886 Pipe w/ Ofna ] Header, and a Novarossi Exhaust Cooler. Everyone at my local track is very suprised by the amout of power it puts out. Runs at 230 all day long. Could'nt be happier with a $140 Engine!
