From what I remember from the past is that people had issues to tune or (re)start engines with an aluminum carb. A plastic carb did solve that. And yes, heat in metals make them expand and that could have influence on the precise tuning some engines need,

Can you please recommend a throttle return spring for me or throttle bands that work well to close the Novarossi carb manually in case of servo or power failure? The usual hair bands Monty recommends ALWAYS break on me even if doubled up. Thank you

Anyone have any ideas on how to remove seriously stuck head bolts? Previous owner used red loctite and 3 are impossible to get out and one is completely stripped. Any idea on how to get the 3 out and get the stripped one out? I’ve tried smacking the end of the screwdriver to try and loosen them and also tried heating up the head with no luck.

Heat gun will break away red locktite

Set oven to 300. Bake 10-15 mins until golden brown.
To get the stripped screw, try tapping in a Torx. Theres usually a Torx size that works great to grabbing stripped hexes.

Do they still make replacement piston and sleeves for the 21-7 fms? Thanks in advance.

anyone know what size bearings in the Novarossi 28-8?

I am assuming sealed bearings are the way to go in a nitro engine?

I want to have an extra set of bearings just incase.

Thank you.

Never mind: found the answer on the Italian Novarossi website.

I can not tell for the offroad but with their onroad engines I do not need to replace front bearings very much. It is a standard size so you can find many cheap alternitives

Nova hasn't used those bearings in several years the rear bearing is a standard 25.8x14x6 the front bearing is the same as the 17011 but with an extra ball
