no, not really.... they all make different power bands on different engines.... IMO they are each quite distinct from each other.

Default Too cold glow plug???

Just a quick question about tuning & plugs

Can running to cold of a plug cause you to have to lean out the needles quite a bit from where you normally run them?

Default Roma Issues..

Hello All

I have a Roma that has about a gallon and half run through it since break in and can not get this guy tuned properly anymore, it was running fine since the last time up at the track and then it just did a 360 on me at the track, wont stay running. went back to factory settings and started over with countless attemps and have been just turning screws at this point.. i can get it to idle and once i go WOT and let go it just dies and that is the point im at.. the one thing that i have noticed is the sound of the engine now sounds like its has marbles in it.. could this be bearings?

it spits fuel at idle and as i lean it out that turns to smoke which i think is a sign of the idel needs to come down.. but im not sure if this is normal.

im not sure what else to check here as im fairly new to nitro as you can tell, but it still has good pinch..

running O'donnell 30%, 6.5 Venturi, and Novarrossi C6TGC, 9853/41021

ive replace the fule lines, tested the tank for air leaks..

Any help would be great
Thanks.

I'd definitely check out the rear bearing before running it again. What your describing sounds like a bad bearing.

so the bearings seem ok, but dont seem ok.. if that makes any sense. they are smooth but there is a point while turning them they seem a little off.. if i place my ear up to the block i can hear at a point while turning the crank that something is not smooth.

If the compression ok, fuel line/tank ok, carb setting is close, then most probably front bearing, try to check it again
