I've just run in my P5 and given it a safe tune: 7mm Venturi HSN +3 hrs from flush LSN +4 hrs from flush That's running at circa 100/230 degrees with Byron 25-% with the ambient temp 20/70 degrees. |

I run a Keep Off 7 with a 2013 in buggy and the bottom is just to much (modded engine keep in mind) but other then that I love the Werks pipe on the Nova engine. Its lighter then most pipes and is ballistic on the engines. I'll be trying a 2058 and have great faith it will be an awesome combo! If I were you I would try the 2058, heard it gets good mileage too.

Hey guys, just for my testing and curiosity. I want to test out running 40% nitro in a Nova keep off 7. I have one that has been used a bit but still in very good shape and is perfect for testing grounds. From stock I removed 1 shim to get a little more power. So right now I run 1 less shim than stock on 30% with a hot plug. What will I need to do to properly run 40% at this point? Should I add 2 shims and run a colder plug and test from there? I don't want any pre detonation most importantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll report back with the results :)

Just try a cold plug for now. Then you can start tolean it out as you ar esupposed too. When you use a hot plug, you advance the timing alot and this will actually give your engie less topend power. Your torq could be good from low end, but as soon as you hit some rpms, it will loose power and run hot. espesially since you already have removed a shim. if you are to test with 40%, make shure you add some shims and use a cold plug.

Awesome thanks man. Regarding plugs, how come so many guys ru nP3 and P4 then, dont they worry about losing top end? Question is how minimal is the loss in top end? The Keep 7 is a top end motor so to speak so prob not that noticeable? Maybe Ill run a P4 instead of the 3. I didnt like the Nova c6 that everyone suggests, didnt run strong enough or consistent enough.

What type of pipe would you guys recommend for a P5XLT in a buggy? Had my btt snap its rod last weekend and I'm in the market for something new. I ran a 2058 with the btt, would it be decent with the P5? I plan on running a 14t clutch bell also to smooth it out on the buggy. Thanks.

Now I haven't run it on a P5 but I know for a fact that is does exactly that on Werks and Orion motors. I guess we will see soon. But if you want a Nova pipe, the 9901 pipe with the 41021 header is said to be one of the best all around set-ups for power, smoothness and fuel mileage. |

I have a btta that I'm going to replace the bearings both front and rear, my question is what size bearings does it take and what's the best performing and lasting bearings.

Some people even replace the stock bearings in some engines (haven't seen or heard about this happening in Novas) to ceramics before even breaking the engine in. Whatever works best I guess :nod:
