May have to look at a 41021/EFRA SS 2096 for the P5XL then since the 9901 comes very close to running out of legs down the back straight at my local track

Would it give increased bottom end compared to the 9901 for clearing jumps effectively?

2096 on p5 is very very good I prefer 41021 but some like the 41019 ,41001 or 41005 on it

Right on the money, I really like this combo for the P5 as well as the new CLIO P5. Usually I run the 2096 SS with the 41021 as it seems to just always work well. The 9901 is also a very popular combo but it just isn't my favorite. The 9901 seems to give tons of bottom end torque and flatten out the top a bit. I guess if you are on a short track with small approach the 9901 would work but the 2096 is my favorite hands down.

How would the 41021 vary from the 41020 on the 9901?

I'm waiting on the new track lay out to be completed before I make a call, but from what I can gather its going to be a lot faster and more like a euro layout

41020 is a very very bottom end header , takes alot of top away

If you read from pages 420-422, you will see the issue I had chasing the tune from the begining. Everyone agreed it was the fuel, you can see in the pics the engine was filthy!!! Ive changed brands so see how I go.

I did end up cleaning the motor out with Autosol and the parts came up shiny and bright but in my frustration in trying to get the sleeve out, I used a pair of vise grips and ended up pinching the top by 1/2mm and couldnt get the button in

Hey if you are looking for extra legs in your engine our Hong Nor 2047 pipe (10074) has some outstanding power on both ends but more for the top, they are hard coated and last a good amount of time. Yes I'm pluggin our product but my BTT loves the pipe and I have given my pipe to several guys at Revelation and made them pick up performance on several types of engines. Our Jp-pipes have been sellers and still sell but this one even though not name a JP would be like a JP-7 of our line of pipes.

I've probably pulled out 20+ sleeves from the engine block over my rc career. NEVER have I had one this tight to the block. I did the zip tie trick to get it up an 1/8 of an inch and then started gently working it back and forth with a flat blade screw driver. It is now about 1/2 way out and is completely stuck. I've tried heating it with a heat gun. Nothing!!! Any tips for getting it out the rest of the way?

You can send it in to Lance at RcRenew. He has a tool to remove stuck sleeves. He removed a stuck one for me. Other then that I dont have a clue. I hate when this happens.

Got it. Used two screws so I had an elevated point to pry on the lip of the sleeve. Came out easy peesy after doing that.

That's the tightest sleeve I've done in a LONG time!!!

How does a 9886/long square header compare to a 2096/41021 on a P5?

A shorter header might be better with the 9886.

The 2096/41021 combo is great on the P5. This is my go to setup when going to any track and very rarely stray away from it because it works so well. Good torque from the bottom with good rpm up top, also get good runtime.

The 9886 and the 41019C is another combo made in heaven Lol. This combo is very crisp punchy power that will run your rpms as high as the motor will go. I typically run this combo on road only as the punchyness can get you in trouble with lower traction.

Some may be wondering what the 41019C header is and its simply a conical version of the 41019.

Right now I'm running the Novarossi CLIO P5 with the 2096 Super Strong and 41021 header. I usually run the 6.5 restrictor and a C6TGC plug. I always start here and very rarely change from it.

My milage is pretty good and I stand on it a lot and I get 9, when I drive more on a pace then I make the next marker. My Jammin engine which sucked allot of fuel would get to 10 at Rev, with a 7mm Venti and 240 temps. My smaller track I go to puts 12minutes for my Nova engine. I was talking to my friend on Tues at Rev and said he drops it on his Speed and makes 10 at Rev without a problem, he's Jonesing for another and we are getting more soon.
