Yes, 2096 would have less bottom end and more top end.
Maybe you'd want to try 41005.

If I remember correctly the beat 4 is similar if not the same as a plus 4 btt, its not really a truggy engine. I would say run the 53 pipe and 41021 header if you have your heart set on running the beat 4 in truggy.

No, it has the same sleeve as 21-4C afaik. Slightly different exhaust port.

BTT has a wider exhaustport. It will have a larger area and use a bit more fuel. It will also have slightly higher rpm.

Having ran that engine in my truggy, i will tell you from experience that if you have short run ups to jumps you will definitely miss the 9901, for the most part the 9901 is better than the 2096 for that engine in truck, or you can try the 9853 which is awesome.

Need Assistance

I have an old Novarossi 2001BF .21 engine. Runs great. But I am looking to or wanting to convert it from a standard plug to a Turbo plug.

Will a P5 or P5xl turbo button work on this motor ?
If so what else will I need to do to make sure I am not damaging the motor?

This is our track. Not much of a high speed track, recorded fastest lap time is 37 sec. We use P5 and Plus 4 with 9901 pipe.

Will a KeepOff 4 port suffice or should we consider a 7 port? I know the 7 port is more high tech. I also race occassionally at PRC track, Pattaya-Thailand.

My track buddies have been pushing me towards OS, but hearing mixed reviews. Hope I will not regret the Nova purchase.

After trying several different engines, I now only use OS and Nova engines. I have about a gallon on my keep off 4 and so far I love it. Very usable powerband and good runtime. I race on two tracks where the fast lap is around 31 seconds for one track and 37 seconds for the other, and the keep off is plenty of engine for buggy.

Drake races at both tracks all the time and is using a keep off 4 with the new carb. He says the new carb makes the low end more crisp and gives a little bit more all around torque to the engine, but no significant increase or decrease in runtime.

Looking at the new off-road line up for 2014 can someone explain what the different carbs offer? Looking at the new p5 there's three carbs available?

The Clio looks interesting!

Looks like they are using the +4C crank and team piston like the BTTA, new head and button, and the new carb.

Can anyone chime in with a price? Do you think they will still be valued somewhere around 200-225? I hope so!

No, if you look at this: http://www.novarossi.it/2012/images/...va/CLIO-P5.pdf

You will see it has 15009T crank, so that's not what's in the +4C.. team piston, yes..

So basicly this is a Maxy's cinco, but in Novarossi branding, but with the new carb.
I think it should be a nice little engine, and I'd be wanting one if the price is right :)

may not be plus 4C, but it is from a plus 4 buggy.. the one just before the C

And the exterior of the engine case looks very familiar to another engine I have. :sneaky:

The CLEO will have a street price of $300-325. If you want a $200-225 engine the P5XLT will continue to be available in the USA.
