Still, you can have flame outs after refueling. Don't never fill fuel in the neck of the tank. When the lid closes, you'll have too much pressure in the tubes and the engine will run too rich. Mount an fuel filter (without the filter insert) as close as possible to the tank in the pressure tube from the exhaust.

What is the best pipe for fuel. I'm switching from go and looking for long run times and smoth power transition.

Main buggy but looking at running this in both. Do I need the special header to run in Mugen

might be getting a bf3 port and I was wondering will a 9901 pipe kill this motor or make it a pretty good runner? I know a lot of people run the 9886 but I would like to know if the 9901 will do the trick?

Anyone running those "Stacker" venturi's from Innovative Designs? Just curious as to the performance vs. a standard venturi. They are about 2x the price, so wondering if they are a waste of money compared to the $7 Nova inserts? BTW, I run a modded N21BF with Dynamite 086 pipe on primarily small tracks.

In the market for a new motor and have been looking at a S21P5XLT,,,,read that this motor can use standard and or turbo plugs, with a button change? And that this motors specs are nomore that 25% nitro content and no less than 10% oil? the reason is im a budget racer and currently (have allways) run 20% nitro fuel(Sidewinder 20%-12%oil) and standard plugs, helps me keep cost down,,, is this a good motor for me to buy , does it fit into my fuel and plug choice? thanks guys for all the help, this board and thread is awesome!

U can use any % nitro fuel as long as the engine is properly shimmed for it .

Not sure that the new button design is offered in standard at the moment , I haven't found it yet if it has anyway and I look for that kinda stuff so I know ;)

i have 3 n21bf's and love them!...i was just wondering what you guys would recommend on a plug choice!...i live in southern california where its always 80 degrees or hotter!....i am also currently running a jp4 pipe and header!...what pipe/header combo do you recommend running on these motors!

When the temps are colder outside or even a bit cool I like to run the mccoy mc-8 plug, it's a medium plug, but a bit warmer than a odonnell 99 plug. the 99 plug works great in the hotter months because the engine is running hotter by about 25-30 degrees and a thinner wire in the hotter plugs gets burned up too fast, try the odonnell 99 plug in the BF. and good luck at the races.....

Oh yeah, the most popular pipe is the top end 9886 with the medium or short header, and the 9853ss is my favorite with the short round header.....I have heard the jp4 works great on Novarossi engines, but I haven't tried them and I do recommend the Nova Pipes and Headers.....

:cry:bad news! i took the backplate off my nova 21bf tonight after practice and noticed the piston skirt had a chunk missing from it!...i found the chunk and quickly put the motor back together and ran it just to make sure it wasnt me that broke it when taking it apart!...i always make sure the piston is @ tdc when taking off the backplate!....the motor runs fine and hits high rpms!...it didnt want to idle,but it was 9:30@ night so i couldnt warm it up!...obviously this is no good but will this piston explode eventually?....:flaming:
