Hello everyone. I was hoping someone could chime in and give a little advice. I have 8T 2.0 running a Bonito in it. The truggy has plenty of top end. I was hoping to get some more grunt down low. I'm running a 41021 header and 9853 pipe. The pipe has a few dents in it so that may be affecting the power. Is there a different pipe and header combo that would give me power on the bottom end of this Bonito ? Thank you

But guys, the engine is still basically new...just past break in, so the element coming out is not my concern (one time occurrence and motor has been ran since then MANY times)
It doesn't need pinching at all, I am asking what if anything can I do about the top of the piston and the button head bottom? How much does this effect the motor? My piston and button still have nicks in them and it does not affect the engine. |

I'm running a Losi 4 shoe, 2 aluminum with gold springs and 2 composite with green springs. I run Byrons Race Gen 2 30% fuel. Thanks
Drop the stock Losi clutch in favor of a M2C with hard shoes....... Drop the 9853/41021 in favor of a 9886/41001 drop the Byrons race in favor of Werks or Bones brew fuel ( Byrons race gives up noticeable HP to these other 2, especially bottom end crispness ) |
Hello everyone, I have a 1/8 scale buggy running a Novarossi .21 engine. I have been out of racing for around 5 years and it has set. I have got my buggy running now and let it warm up and run a tank of fuel through it before opening it up. The temp isn't getting up to normal level, the hottest I've been able to get it is around 160 degrees, I know i need to lean it out to get it to normal level but I also have had to back off my throttle control at idle due to it idling so high at start up. I don't know if I need to take apart to work on carb or what to do to get it back to where I don't have to keep my throttle backed off so much. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated, I hope I have explained it well enough so someone can give me some guidance. Like I said, I've been out of racing for a few years and trying to get my buggy back up and running so I can complete again. Thanks.

either your idle gap is too large or your linkage is hanging the throttle open....... |

the linkage seems to working fine, I looked for hang ups but haven't noticed anything. |
Do not use the radio to set your idle. That's a big no no. Idle gap is set with the idle screw. Radio should be set so the slide is all the way back against the idle screw when trigger is at neutral.
See the angled screw in this picture? http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...i-carb-001.jpg That is your idle adjustment. |

Does someone have a diagram showing the idle / low / high needle locations on a Novarossi offroad .21 engine. keep in mind this engine is about 8 years old but practically new due to not being run for several years. I've been looking online for diagrams and unable to find anything.
Thanks. |
