I've ran both . If your on a budget run the p5. If you want a little more power the Bonito with the 41001 manifold and 9886 pipe runs great. The last time I ran my MBX6t I ran a Roma with a 14 tooth clutch bell and it was a fast machine for sure. I think I'll keep the Roma in it for awhile.

I ordered the Bonito.

Ive got a 41021/9901 I plan on pairing with it.

What to expect? Ive heard with this engine its all about the clutch setup.

I tried that pipe and it killed the power on mine.

Ive got a 2096 on my plus 4btt in my buggy. Should I swap those and try that?

never had a nova

How hard is it to get the tune right on a nova stock like a p5 or a plus 4?

Its not very hard to tune the Nova's at all. As long as everything is mechanically correct (fuel system, clutch, gaskets etc.) They are pretty easy to get a tune on them after break in. My plus 4 is on its 7th gallon and I only adjust the tune hour here or there as needed for weather conditions. Knock on wood...it runs like a champ at 270* to 280* all day long with 10:30 + minute pit stops.

I know my question sounded dumb so please bear with me cause I would like to try a nova the plus 4 u speak of is it a mod or stock, and the best around pipe for that engine? I don't want a mod for my first nova. And what plug? And how is a p5 nova?

Novas just don't like a rich bottom. Find the point where its too lean and turn the LSN out a few hours until it has a smooth steady idle.

My. Plus 4 is modded. IMHO my favorite header is the 41021 with the 2096 pipe. You will get a bunch of different opinions on pipes/headers. This combo works for me everywhere I go. Same combo on the p5 works well. The P5 is a great engine too. Little more bottom end then a plus 4btt and slightly less top. Can't really go wrong with either engine.

I've never ran the 2096 but other people on here like it. I run the 9886 on all the novas I have. It's a 2 chamber pipe so it's a little louder which I like!:sneaky:

RC8 P5XLT QUESTION

DISCLAIMER: I am a mother who is looking for help on what to buy for my son's RC8. I have limited knowledge so that's why I was looking for your assistance.

My son has a Team Associated RC8 in which he has blown his motor. My son wants a Novarossi P5XLT engine. My question is what pipe, manifold and fuel filters should I purchase for it? The track he races on is pictured below. We live in the midwest so it gets very hot and humid as well. He needs excellent bottom end power but still needs to have great top end performance. I have read so many conflicting posts that I figured I would just ask everyone for help.
Thanks!
Lauren

P5xlt , 2096/41021 pipe/header. C6tgc plugs

There are ways you can order which cut break in time in half , let us know if any of us can help you out

I am at the track almost 4 night a week now that he got his Nitro. I usually pit for him but I actually love the loud sound they make. My son is 10 and obsessed with them. So I either go and enjoy it or sit at home and dont see my family. The choice is pretty simple. :spidey:
